There's a difference between being delusional and a guru.
You don't remember Holmgren saying there would be personnel changes in March when it looked like we might miss the playoffs?

Sorry, I can't believe Homer is so bad at math that he accidently signed these guys then realized the cap implications. You may not agree with it, but the offseason plan CLEARLY involved moving Gagne.

On Holiday: Gagne Tells Me He was NOT traded. This is getting on MY nerves now, not just his .

Somebody else is getting moved. I'm more sure than ever now.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Gagne is willing to waive his clause.

There's a difference between personnel changes and "This, this, this and this is going to happen, it's just a matter of time" in every second post.

I wouldn't disagree with Gagne possibly leaving, where there's smoke there's usually fire. Am I going to tell everyone on this forum I KNOW what's going to happen, no. I'm not just referring to the Gagne issue, it's generally with everything.

Why is Timmay saying it that way, did he hear Gagne WAS traded?

There's a rumor floating around that Gagne was already traded and that the announcement was coming Monday.

IF Gagne was traded. I don't think he would tell Tim. Tim would turn around put it all in the press. I'm not so sure they want that.

I still wouldn't be surprised to see something be announced come Monday. Please let it not be Gagne on the move.

I don't think this means this at all. I think he is just shooting down those Montreal blogger rumors. In an interview today with the French press he said he know the odds are slim that he is back next year and he knows his time with the Flyers is over. They are still in the process of compiling a list of teams.

That does not sit in my stomach well.

Seeing Gagne is another jersey makes me cringe.

Believe it or don't. I don't care. I haven't been participating in this topic because its all just speculative bs. Hopefully this is different. I am an optimist. I would be devastated if Gagne left. It

@bjerome10 Nope, it's speculation at this point. Hopefully Homer has realized he can't deal Gags. I personally think it'll be Jeff or Scott.

Those are the tweets if anyone cares.

I don't trust this guy as far as I can throw him as far as sources are concerned, but he goes right along with my feelings. I think it'll be Hartnell however I think it's more of an issue of Gagne refusing to waive his clause than having trouble finding a location for him to go.

It would be cool if it was legit, but he's just another Eklund wannabe as far as I am concerned. Not a credible source.

This is what Gagne had to say on Cyberpresse.ca via google translate:

Quote:
"They asked me to raise my clause, but it is not yet ready to do so. They talk with my agent, we will look at the options available to us. The chances that I stay in Philadelphia are slim, "confessed the hockey player 30 years.
Quote:
Gagne was disappointed not to complete the fifth year of his pact five seasons with the Flyers. He realized, however, recently, that his association with the "Broad Street Bullies" was coming to an end. If it were not this summer, it would have been next year. They told me that I suffered a big cut in salary at the end of my current contract. I signed a contract for five years for compliance until the end, but that's part of their choice to spend their money as they want, "noted one with a record of 259 goals and 265 assists (524 points ) Played in 664 games in 10 seasons in the NHL.

Thank you for posting this I am so happy right now. Also I hope you are right about the Carle and Carcillo for a 1st or 2 and a prospect it seems to make to much sense.

Why would people want to trade Carle and Carcillo? You wouldn't be able to clear that much space.

Everyone is trading Carle. Its beyond ridiculous that they want to go back to Bartulis on a regular basis.

If they find a different route than getting rid of Gagne, I'm pretty much all for it.

It's about Kovalchuk, but very relevant.

Kovalchuk is apparently likely to make his decision in the next 48-72 hours.

Quote:
Impeccable sources have told The Post that the Devils have a contract offer on the table to Kovalchuk for 17 years at more than $100 million, and front-loaded so that Kovalchuk would collect $100 million over the first 10 years of the deal. Yet the winger, who recorded 27 points (10-27) as a Devils' rental while enjoying his experience in New Jersey, hasn't accepted it.

At the same time, though Los Angeles offers the glitter Kovalchuk understandably craves plus the opportunity to compete for the Stanley Cup, the Kings' latest offer of 12 years at $63.6 million as first reported by The Post on Twitter on Wednesday night, isn't going to get it done.
So, if we're still moving Gagne and not any one or combination of Hartnell, Carle, Carter, and Briere, we will soon know who will be the losers in the Kovalchuk war.

The ridiculous amount of money being thrown at Kovalchuk bodes well for us as well, but be warned: if we're going to make any dangerous "cap circumvention contracts," we better get them done before the next CBA. I have a feeling these frontloaded disasters are going to be going the way of the dinosaur soon enough.

I still wouldn't mind seeing Carle go and giving Bartulis a full season. He did well, better than Parent or Krajicek.
