Nope, I wasn't putting one together but pieces were posted in this thread. If you had asked last night, you would have gotten more detail, lol. The team does not release a roster with FA invites, let along which group players are in, too funny.

Again, the caveats: positions not always accurate, but these were the jersey combos yesterday. Players sometimes switch groups, etc.

Group A

Red: Cullen, Kuznetsoz, Forfar
White: Woods, Gustafsson, Cherniwchan
Green: DellaRovere, Hauswirth, de Kastrozza
Gray: Wiles, DeSimone, Eakin

Dmen: Bond, Carrier, Finley, Flemming, Jank, Orov, Ruel, Yadlowski

Goalies: Dunn and Holtby

Group B

Red: Miele, Alexander, Pisano
White: Burt, Johansson, Galiev
Green: Mitchell, Bruess MacLeod
Gray: LeFrancois Burke Herbert

Dmen: Cullity, Davis, Lowery, Miskovic, Sotnieks, Spinell, Stevenson, Wey

Goalies: Enzukens, Grubauer, Nelson

Ever since after the Tinordi days we've been hoping for guys like Yonkman and Finley to pan out. I hope he's given a chance in Hershey and they resign him. We've given plenty of other guys a chance to stick around and he's not just huge and strong, he hits like a truck and he's gotta mean streak. I don't think you can teach that. Besides, George will never sign a defensemen like that, so we have to develop them from within. Who else is in the system who can add any of that element? Maybe Patrick Wey. Not a long list. At least Carlson brings some toughness.

BINGO! Thanks SK8. Plans are still on for my noon time visit. I will be the guy with the SK8 roster in hand. I will be keeping an eye on Kuznetsoz Orlov Finley and Gus.

FWIW, typed that quickly, pretty sure the little it mattered, Herbert was playing center and Burke the wing.

They did have handouts of the roster posted when they released the roster, i.e., the alpha list and the number list of the guys that Caps own rights.

About Finley and his lateral movement, at camp last year they did match him up alot against Perreault. Not the fastest guy in the world but very nifty and agile, tough for any 6'8" guy to chase after, I dont care who it is. I thought it was good to grade where he was but also a bit unrealistic to expect him to dominate that matchup. They pulled the plug quick and moved him to F.

There is no reason why we cant develop big tough mean possible 7's internally. Even if they dont pan out, they can be an anchor protecting our other prospects in the AHL, and we can call em up for Flyers games. But as noted, Finley is only 23, we need to give him more time. I just hope we dont ask too much of him. Bruce needs to whisper in his year, you stay back and protect the goalie. Thats where he needs to make his living in this league.

Burke and Herbert, well you can bank on that line.

Since I noticed that Groups A and B both hit the ice in the morning hours today, I'm assuming that they do some off-ice stuff in the afternoon that isn't open to the public?

/aside

I am certainly learning the considerable downside of Twitter when following the Caps dev-camp list.

Some girl is moaning about how tired she is and she wishes she was at dev camp. Someone moaning about being bruised from moving. Another person yesterday solicited several e-hugs by saying they are depressed and might start crying at any moment.

Shut. The. ****. Up. I'm trying to keep up with Development Camp, not your feelings. If you're going to be on the dev-camp list, talk about dev camp. Otherwise piss off.

And the Caps are not blameless in this, either. Need to use a little discretion there, fellas.

/end aside.

I don't know if it's the early playoff exits from both Washington and NJ or Kovalchuk or what, but I like ornery sk8.

You probably need to remove some people from your Twitter Follow, at least temporarily.

My list remains fairly clean, although it does get a little spammed sometimes with people posting irrelevant information.

I made the mistake of following the Caps' dev-camp list. Won't be doing that again.
