HF boards fans personal Cars !

I remember a similar thread in the past and found it to be an interesting thread for the summer. Vacation comming around the corner, people tend to purchase cars. In my case it's a divorce plus vacation plus plus plus
I was going to purchase a Mercedes an Audi or a BMW, for the last three months i tried many of these cars, within my budget 19,000$.
The car is spotless, it has everything possible. I just changed the mags. I am truly in love with my 2005 BMW 325Xi.

Bought a 2010 Mazda3 GS last year for 23000$ after taxes, financed 3 years @ 2.9%.
Great first new car, better than my used teal 2000 Toyota Echo...

Will sell it for 8000$ in 2013 with 5000$ in cash for a Subaru Impreza WRX 5door (AWD / premium fuel ) or a Ford Mustang V6 coupé (300hp / RWD ).

I'm not even sure I'll ever get a car. Seems pointless to me if i never really leave montreal.

Come to the "regions", you will see that a car is useful

To quote Fry in Futurama :

"Nobody ever drove a car... too much traffic"

haha, yeah. I have a lot of family near drummond, one day it would be nice to just go and visit whenever I like, but for the moment I work from home and school is one bus line away.

I'll tell you this though, when i was working as a body guard, my boss had the new, highest model of mercedes possible. Riding in that thing was awesome.

I've had the Rogue since 2007. I like its look, but the engine is too weak, and a bit noisy. The lease will expire next year.
Then I consider to buy a Lexus RX. What do you think about the Lexus RX350 ?

My old "coloc" was driving a 1998 Accent that seemed to run on mixed gas.
My GF just bought a Kia Forte, pretty good value. Koreans are better than before, look at the Genesis Coupé...

I own a 2003 Jetta GLS 1.8T for 3 years now. I'm now starting looking for a 2009+ Subaru Impreza WRX 5 door 265 in the near future.

Almost bought a 2010 last week with 14000km on it but was already sold when I called

Driving a 1999 Toyota Tercel for the length of my studies. Then, I'll see, but it's not urging, 'cause this one is in good condition (not much power in there though)

You own this AND it's in the shop?!? ... I kid, I kid...

But I know what you mean. We got our first kid 2 years ago and we bought a Ford Escape. Very happy with it.

Mazda Protege 5, 2003. Not my pics, but it's exactly like this :

For the story, last year I made a nice 40 days road trip in this car, all around Quebec (7700 km). From Montreal to Beauce to Bas-St-Laurent to Gaspésie to Côte-Nord to Natashquan to Charlevoix to Saguenay to Lac St-Jean to Chibougamau & Chapais to Abitibi to Témiscamingue and finally back to Montreal!! Highly recommended!!

I usually don't use my car very much since I live in the Plateau Mont-Royal, and my bike/feet + bus are much more usefull.

Considering there was no Skyline(GT-R) in NA in 2008 and the fact that a yellow gt-r would be retarded I'll assume maybe a saturn sky, but can't be sure.

You don't need a car till you start driving. Once you do, you never want to take the bus again.

So true. I got my full license a bit later than most, at 23. Once I did, I never looked back. Finding out that a trip to North Vancouver can take 10 minutes with a car rather than 30 minutes with a bus makes the car all that much more appealing.

Maybe. Never know but doubt it.

I've become very attached to having a car. I want to say I'm the worst but there's probably people just like. I don't go to school/work if I don't have a car. I just hate the bus that much now. I do take the subway here though, but not the bus.
