Max amount of money given to Price you'd be okay with

What would be the per year number you'd be okay with and what would be too much?

Anything less than Halak, if not PG will look stupid.

This and he hasn't earned anything more than Halak yet. I'd say in the $2M-$3M range is what he'll end up getting. Anything more than $3,5M per and I'd be a little surprised depending on the length of the contract of course. If it's 3 to 4 years + than I can see him getting paid more per year on average.

To be honest, I don't really care how much he gets paid. That's what the Habs brass gets paid to do. Us, well we pay to see a good product on the ice. That being said, if Price gets $5M a season I couldn't care less, provided he plays like a $5M goalie.

Somewhere between 2-3 million is the amount I see him getting, and I'm fine with a number in that range.

2.2 max IMO.

It has to be a significant cap saving from Halak.

It all depends on how many years he wants to go.

I think it's to the Habs advantage to go longer even if the cap hit is higher, like 4 years 13 mil rather than 1 year 1.5-1.7. That could be a huge savings in year 3 and 4.

Trading Halak before signing Price was a really dumb move.

why do you guys keep saying things like no bonuses like its even an option. Bonuses are only allowed on entry level contracts and 1 year contracts to players over 35 or players who spent a lot of time on the IR.

anything more than $2.5m/yr is an overpayment at this point in his career, IMO
