I thought he was tipping the skills at 216 now, regardless though a good comparison is Duncan Keith,
Keith is 6'1 and 196,
Markov is 6'0 and 207
Doughty is 6'0 and 211
Niedermayer is 6'1 and 194
( ) Pronger is 6'6 and 220
SUBBAN is 6'0 and 214
Schenn is 6'2 and 215
As a previous Poster Alluded to He's already, an amazing skater, Amazing offensively, defensively and physically were the only concerns and he seems to be answering the bell like ive never seen before He'll be able to chew players up next year in the corners

I knew it from the very first period in his first regular season game that this kid was beyond good.... I started a thread, called him god, and was ridiculed, flamed and iraped because "it's people like me" that **** up our prospects with pressure and insurmountable expectations ... that it's people "like me" why FatLat's is scoring 25 in Minny....

Now not even 20 games under his belt and we're all here singing the same tune.

Let this serve a lesson - superstars will be superstars because they're born that way.

Yeah he is a lot stronger than I expected; last year in the playoffs he was pretty beastly, threw his weight around and really made his presence felt physically on some big boys like Crosby... over and over again!

I love it. I can't wait to see more. We are very lucky to have this guy.

Statistics don't care if they are convenient for you or not. If you don't have enough data to observe a statistical pattern, then you don't have enough data to observe a statistical pattern. Mathematics won't change because they don't match expectations.
welcome to HF statisticians, were 20 game sample is enough to declare someone a bust/ best player in the WORLD!

It was marked on the prospect's camp official players list. I think there's a link in the prospect camp thread.

People look at me funny when I tell them that Subban's floor for potential is franchise Dman, and his potential ceiling is friggin Bobby Orr/MJ of hockey. Blasphemy! Sacreligous!

I was also among those who said he was NHL ready and that he was already fit for the top 4 on D.

Ah cool, should have thought of that.

Can't wait to see him play next season. Undoubtedly will be the bright spot of the season for me.

Bobby Orr is a silly comparison ... PK Subban doesn't have knee problems

So, Subban = Orr, and Tinordi = Pronger

That's our first pairing for many years to come after Markov retires.

If so then it's muscle. The guy trains non-stop in the off-season. In junior, it wasn't uncommon for him to add some muscle because he was always working his ass off. There's videos on youtube of it too.

Also, notice the "New height/weight for all players as of July 6th" statement on the bottom right of the program. Notice also that it's the only thing that isn't translated in french somewhere else...

6'/214 lbs is in the "built like a truck" category. He's Bouillon, but at 6'.

You should have just stopped typing right there.

The comparisons I've been reading so far though are hilarious. I've seen comparisons to Orr, Bourque, Chelios etc..some of the greatest defenseman of all time.

Now I like Subban just as much as any of you and feel he has the potential to be something special. But I think some of you are going a little overboard.
