there has been two of like 20 posters that have put him, i don't sdee why it should bug people. The point my most was actually because Big Joe Bear said that Avtsin only put up 9 points in the Khl and that it was a "poor" without taking any contextual factors like the fact that he was 18 playing 5 minutes a game on the fourth line with no PP time.

We can't afford great depth wingers, so we'll have to settle for Moen+Lapierre.

I really think that Eller will play with Boyd as he has shown great defensive play but also some offensive flashes. Putting the two along with Lapierre will make a good defensive, young trio with good scoring ability for a third line as well as a lot of speed. Add to the fact that Lapierre and Eller are fiesty players and willing to go into the dirty areas, it could be an effective line.

But this is all specualtion we'll see in october.

Every time I look at the line-up, I'm missing a RW with Eller and Boyd. Plus, the only reason I got Boyd on LW is so he could play with Eller. But I know Boyd is efficient in face-offs.

I wonder what it would take to get Boyd back on track. Maybe you're right with Lapierre. We'll see.

I def like that bottom 6 a HELL of a lot more than the bottom 6 we went into last season with. Boyd and Pyatt are absolute speed demons and I can't wait to watch them fly around, not to mention getting to see Eller.
I suspect Subban will play with Markov only on the PP....but I agree that our bottom 6 is superior.....Eller should be a surprise to us all....I keep reading that he is NHL ready with big talent displayable at the NHL level.....

It's called Charisma.....just from those little these clip. Personally, I have seen little from this kid but man those little vids are a these to what he could be. Fast, big, slick hands, hard working, hustling all the way back to lay the body....hmmmm no wonder we dream.

It would be a real shame to not continue to develop Eller as a power center. Its not as if we have a sting of power centers in Montreal.....

Even Schultz looks awesome in a few clips but I wouldn't hold my breath on him scoring 40 goals any time soon.....

It is worth a try. With 35-37 he has showed some scoring ability.
It all depends on chemistry.
Doesn't change the fact that he more goals in 2008-2009 than points last season. I like Lappy but his hockey sense in the offensive zone is really limited and his playmaking abilities are almost non-existent.

I'd like to see our young forwards really prove themselves in the AHL before we bring them up.

Lapierre's offense isn't too bad. For a 3rd, or 4th liner it's alright.

Cammalleri-Pleks-AKostitsyn
Pouliot-Gomez-Gionta
Pyatt-Eller-????????
Lapierre-Boyd-Moen
Darche

In terms of the forwards the above is pretty much set IMO . The question is who win that RW spot beside Eller. Could be a young gun, could be Lapierre who'd then make Darche or White on the 4th line.

I wouldn't have Pacioretty start the year with us but would call him up after 20 or 30 games to have :

Cammalleri-Plekanec-Kostitsyn
Pouliot-Gomez-Gionta
Pacioretty-Eller-Boyd (puck retriever, playmaker and goal scorer sounds good)
Moen-Pyatt-Lapierre
Darche
White

Markov-Spacek
Hamrlik-Subban
Gill-Gorges
O'Byrne
Carle

Price
Auld

xxxx= Best player at the camp
this is the most realistic line up , with maybe Lapierre on 3rd line and xxxx being on the fourth

Yeah. That's about it

Pyatt can play center too I think. I'd prefer him than White at that position.

i think it looks stronger than last season... no kidding ! Last year a lot of new players came into the locker room, some chemistry have been made during the playoff, we know how our first two line looks like, Subban is already a NHL caliber player and will improve even more this season, we know that Gorges-Gill is our best defensive pair, one of the best PK pair, Price is #1 like it or not we'll see if he is a real number 1 goalie or not. Add to that the comin of a futur Top 6 forward (Eller) and a good young guy willin to prove is an NHL player. So yeah, we're better than last season.
