Hopefully Barrie gets the respect he deserves in this one

It was a tough one between Barrie and Chouinard. But I voted for Chouinard (I am such a size queen).

Barrie

Skywalker and Bourne are officially on the board. **** YEAH!

Now add Gus Young, our future #1 defenseman hailed as a 7th round steal.

If Holos is on the board then Cohen should be right behind

Voted Barrie as well.

Agree on adding Gus Young. He is an intriguing prospect for sure. He had 2 very good years in HS. He has very good size already for his age and very good hands. I am looking forward to seeing what he does for Yale (I think) this year. He could very well be a steal as a 7th round.

Bournival....Here's a pick where I think if all the guys were in the NHL at the same time 6 years from now, he'd be the best.

(at least I hope...for the Avs wings prospects sake..)

Cohen.

Offensive up-side, the BIG slapshot from the point, played in the top D pairing at BU with Captain Kirk- top opposing lines, PP, PK, the man does it all.

Barrie may not be big enough to make it past the AHL.

I voted for Cohen just because Barrie has a big boom or bust potential. I do believe if Barrie does reach his potential he will be better than Gaunce.

Add Condon.

I voted Cohen. Like his shot and hoping he can turn our pp around for good.

I think Chouinard will surprise a lot of people next season. I admit I haven't seen him play but from what I can gather he is easily a candidate for one of the Avs most improved prospect last season.

- 2nd in the QMJHL for points as a Dman, led his team in points for Dmen
- 9th (tied at 7th with 2 other players) in the playoffs for points as a Dman, led his team for Dmen again

This coming out after two straight seasons of 35 points.

Barrie's season was quite similar as well.

- 2nd in the WHL for points as a Dman, led his team in points for Dmen
- 8th (tied at 7th with another player) in the playoffs for points as a Dman, leading his team D in the category as well

The only noticeable difference (other being in different leagues) is that Chouinard has about 3 inches on Barrie and Barrie has about a year and a half on Chouinard.

I loved what I saw of Chouinard at the prospects camp last year. I thought he had a great shot and good size. But I remember some people not agreeing with me so I dunno...I'm high on the kid...But I still picked Bournival.....

Chouinard will surprise though I believe...heck he's already doing more than most anyone expected of him, so that's a plus.

Yea I believe Chouinard will surprise. Tho by the looks of this poll it looks like it'll be

- Cohen
- Barrie
- Chouinard

I love our team's future on D.

WHL's defenseman of the year for me, but is there ever a logjam with defensemen doing impressive stuff at lower levels.
