"I'm happy to be here and I hope to be a member of the Canadiens for a long time."

Can't get a more loyal player than him.

Dude, if you're refering to the Stalin era and the Bolsheviks, then go read some more.

They've been used like all countries have been used.

Go look at Germans. They are still a proud people.

You can't generalize because of a few bad apples that had too much power and were greedy.

Most countries have dirty secrets they should be ashamed of.

I mean, you ever read how we got rid of the indians? How the Americans got rid of indians. How the conquistadors commited a huge genocide? Les enfants Duplessi???

Congratulations to Markov and if he wants to play the rest of his career as a Hab, I hope they can have a deal signed within the next couple of weeks.

i ran into him on the streets before, miraculously he no longer has an accent either. in fact, he sounded like he was from saskatoon. "call me andy" he said.

So when you become a Canadian citizen they give you a stuffed moose dressed in a Mountie uniform, a stuffed beaver and a little flag.

Awesome

This picture is really funny to me for some reason. Maybe it's the flip-flops, the confused look on his face or the beaver and the moose I don't know.

Its all of the above, even the plain white tshirt adds to the funniness of the picture.

Almost.. first you have to buy a gun and then denounce all other citizenships.

Haven't read the whole thread - didn't Dany Markov become a Canadian citizen? I remember him saying he wanted to be Canadian/liked Canadian style hockey/beer/Bob and Doug McKenzie/RUSH/ice fishing, etc.
