I agree it's idiotic to name it Real Salt Lake without the connection with Real Madrid. It's nice that they signed the contract to work together on a youth academy though. It's not bad anymore, but it was stupid when they picked it.

I think it's still bad, because 'Real' isn't a marketing name. It's essentially the equivalent of 'His Royal Highness' for a club.

Your thoughts on the LA Kings? Or perhaps the London Knights?

So, are ticket prices for the Man U game really $50+?

Seriously? That's a ton of dough for a friendly. I was thinking of going, but not for $50 + service and convenience fees.

Ticketmaster wants like $126-140 for 2 tickets! **** that!

KC Royals would have been the best example, because "Royal" is the English honor from royalty, but it's still not the same thing.

So, I was playing some FIFA 10 and it's awesome.

Manager mode is fun for MLS for a bit (Sounders since the Union are not in the game) but it gets old. Their is really only the MLS cup and the US Open cup, and only MLS teams are involved. It's lame. I built up a solid squad and have won the MLS cup 3 times in a row (a fair bit of simming, but I played all cup matches). I failed to win the US Open at all, but whatever.

I now want to try the English leagues. I grabbed Leeds United (my mom's favorite team growing up) in the English Coca-cola 1 league and will work on getting that team promoted all the way to the Premier League. Should be more challenging and fun.

I also decided that Arsenal has the coolest name. It sounds awesome. Their shield looks awesome. It's fun to say. It gets my seal of approval.

Anyway, I can't wait for FIFA 11 and the Philadelphia Union's digital debut.

Of course Arsenal is the coolest names. They are named after the place you keep the guns.

Hell of a first half. Le Toux almost came within inches of putting the Union up 1-0. Took Man U 36 minutes to finally get a shot on target.

Some are on ABC, some are on some weird ABC sister station and some are on FSN Soccer. They are currently playing Man U on ESPN 2

0-0 at the half

This Man U game started slow, but it heated up and now it's exciting.

Thought he had it, but that pass was pretty bad.

Perk almost gave up a terrible goal. No pro goalie should drop that

I was watching the Man U stream, and the announcers were amazed at how well Union were playing.

They definitely made a fan out of me. Solid, solid game (one god awful pass aside).
