The proposal is great in terms of value but Raymond has proven he can click with Kesler... Little would be a question mark when it comes to clicking with Kesler or the Twins. I guess its a high risk + high reward type of move for Vancouver as Little could work out being better than Raymond with either line or a lot worst. Probably not worth the risk as Raymond has shown signs of improving and odds are will get only better. Little, on the other hand, showed a lot of promise 2 years ago but had a off year (only real reason he's value would be @ Raymond's level). Basically 2 players with similar values right now but 1 trending up + has chemistry with teammates vs 1 trending down (but likely to bounce back) with no chemistry. Not a great move for the 'nucks.
As for ATL side, they probably have no reason to do this either. Little is younger than Raymond (22 vs 24), has 4 years left in RFA (vs 3) and realistically has more offensive upside than Raymond. Doesn't make a lot of sense for them to move him at this point. More so there's no guarantee anyone there will click with Raymond.
i am sure if this deal came up Thrashers would not accept, but Little will. Good thing for the Nucks is that Little had a slightly disapointing season so he will not recieve a lot in arbitration if he is going because I think he is rfa (off the top of my head). This will allow the Canucks to upgrade a player in the bottem 6 in the bieksa deal.
