Tortorella is fired, only to be replaced by Barry Melrose.

I will go against the grain here and state these.

1- Redden WILL be in Hartford by Oct 1st.

2- MDZ will struggle in his sophmore season and may see some "stints" to Hartford.

3- McDonagh makes the team only to be sent down mid season.

4- Anisimov will improve on his rookie season, esp goal scoring.

5- Marc Staal find his offensive game this year.

1) Biron plays 17 games, loses 12 of them. Rangers miss playoffs by 6 points. Torts gets called an idiot for not having played Lundqvist more.

2) Callahan scores 29 goals and some fans still insist he's a 3rd liner. Those same fans complain that Slats should have signed the more highly-skilled Zherdev (eventhough Zherdev finishes the year with only 13 goals).

3) Rozsival traded for Souray and outscores Souray who misses all but two of the last 20 games for Rangers due to a concussion. Renney's Oilers make the PO's as an 8th seed and upset the Sharks in round one. Rangers miss the PO's.

4) Rangers trade for Brad Richards at the deadline and Torts calls Larry Brooks a moron for questioning his decision to play him ever shift of every game.

5) Redden wins Team MVP award...for the Wolfpack!

1) Knee-Jerk reactions after losses from John Tortorella about his players catches up with him. The people in and around the team, the media, and the rest of the staff minus Sullivan start to turn and ultimately feel he is NOT the man for the job. Messier speaks out starts to make his presence known and the “Messier era” is born and a new Head coach named by Messier comes in at the end of the season.

2)Ryan Callahan gets off to the best start of his career as he nets 15 before the all star game.

3) The economy sets in hard at MSG this year with the lowest attendance records the club has ever had.

4) Rangers swing a deal with the Ottawa Senators for Matty Carkner bringing the physical element they wanted for their Blue line. Also officially cementing the 2010/11 NY Rangers as the BROADWAY Bullies! Flyer and Leafs games will be fun again!

5) Dale Weise makes the club as an extra forward and earns a spot on the team as a 3rd liner.

Gaborik scores 38 goals
Dubi continues with 21 goals
Callahan scores 20 goals
Dru becomes Betts with 6 goals
Prospal can't keep up with the pace any longer scores 11
We bring up the kids towards February to give them a taste
We finish below the NYI and wait for the lottery.

MZA surprises everyone scores 35 and becomes a fan favorite and media darling
McD plays himself onto the team, only to see stints in HFD
Avery plays himself off the team, essentially ending his NHL career
Rangers start strong, have a huge slide around X-mas, surge late to gain 7th spot
Gaborik is brilliant again, scoring 45
Dubi does not take his game to the next level, is traded
AA does take his game to the next level, scores 25
Torts and Brooksie finally come to blows, punchstat calls it a draw

(OK, I went over 5, this is fun...)

1. Prust, Boyle, Weise play well, Boog plays 25 games.
2. MZA needs seasoning in Hartford, but plays 60 games with Rangers.
3. Gabby is just as good as last year, no injury the whole year.
4. Steve Eminger plays way too many games.
5. Torts will call out Biron this year at least once saying we paid him to be better then this.

1.) Gaborik scores 40-45 goals and plays 80 games

2.) Drury hits 50-60 points - I think he gets on the right track early

3.) Redden is waived before the season starts

4.) Dubinsky stays consistent with 60+ points

5.) MZA scores 20 points...

6.) Rangers sneak into the playoffs

Oh... One more... Anisimov keeps his head up!

1. Derek Boogard will only dress for games against the Philadelphia Flyers. And Daniel Carcillo will be smart enough not to fight him for no reason. He will, however, fight Sean Avery at the drop of a hat.

2. Henrik Lundqvist has 4 or less shutouts, but has his best goals against average since 2007-2008.

3. Rangers struggle after Christmas, get desperate for a win/motivation. Brandon Dubinsky injures his hand in a fight against Mike Richards on January 16th, 2011(first Flyers/Rangers game at MSG). Comes back just in time for our playoff push, makes a strong case for 1st line center, and averages almost a point-per-game on the stretch run playing with Gaborik.

4. John Tortorella gets suspended after going off on the officials for not calling goaltender interference. Henrik gets run over in a close game and is shaken, cannot finish the game. No call is made, and Biron is forced to go into net. Torts goes crazy, smashing sticks and throwing water bottles onto the ice. Torts is thrown out, Rangers lose the game, and Torts is suspended by the League.

5. Wade Redden sees a return to form. Becomes our #1 offensive force on the blue line. Sees a lot of powerplay time, and ends up with more goals and points in this season then he has had in his entire Rangers career. Redden has scored 5 goals and has 35 assists as a Ranger, and he will beat that with his numbers from this season alone.

1 - Gaborik stays healthy and tops last years point totals
2 - Lundqvist wins the Vezina
3 - instead of a crippling losing streak, we ride unlikely heros on a long, strange winning streak
4 - Drury makes us believers
5 - one or two players have break out years
6 - beautiful third jersey
7 - electrifying year for avery

Avery's proves his worth and this is the season we see the pest 82 games and the 20-20 season we've all been waiting for.

Lundqvist is nominated for, but loses the Vezina to Tuukka Rask.

Gaborik is Gaborik

Staal puts up 40 points

Drury doesn't break 25 points

Redden gets demoted

Rozival breaks his leg

Stepan centering MZA and Grachev makes team out of training camp and becomes
2nd line

Anisimov is the first line center

Avery gets thrown off team ala Dallas

Rangers miss the playoffs by 1 point and draft @ #14

the WADE not only makes the team but scores 30 points for NY this upcoming season.

Henrik Lundqvist gets hurt and is in and out of the lineup, ending up playing in 40 games. Chad Johnson is called up and outplays Biron who goes to the bench AGAIN like last season against Roloson.

NY misses the playoffs again but is not a lottery team

Chris Drury is traded at the deadline to Boston who sends NY Tim Thomas. Thomas comes in and has an amazing run giving NY a sniff of the playoffs without the king in nets, only to fall short.

Ryan Callahan scores 28 goals this season

and

Stepan is called up for about 10 games of action and shows that he is not out of place giving NY Ranger fans hope for the 2012 season.

I'll try my hand at this.

1. I really think Drury has a rebound season. Not anything ridiculous, but back to his career averages.

2. Boogard isn't much of a hockey player, but still plays more than he should, and is on the roster the majority of the season.

Fans still love em.

3. Prospal skips his off year, has similar year to last year.

4. MZA is dissapointment.

5. Girardi has a much more consistent year.
