Back to the question about me being a Wild fan...
My dad played in a beer league and I thought it was fun. So I played alot in those type of beer leagues.
Why the Wild? I liked the color green. Then I started to like the logo. Then I started to like they were underdogs. Then I saw they had Park (Asian pride...). Then I got addicted...
I wanna do this too! Strictly speaking I'm more of an NHL fan than fan of any team, but if someone put a gun to my head and asked me about it, I'd be a Wild fan (along with Hurricanes and maybe Ducks...) I'm positively surprised that there seems to be life again in the Wild boards here. I've been a lurker in Wild's own boards but never bothered to register. Now that Koivu signed his extension and Wild drafted Granlund, I'll probably follow Wild even closer. Already got tickets for the season opener, naturally. Also it seems that Wild fans are generally pretty nice people and knowledgeable hockey fans, which I'm not. I'm an idiot, but I've always liked to surround myself with smart people.

How long I have been a Wild fan/how I became a fan: I've liked Wild since the beginning because they've been underdogs and belittled by other fans, much like Team Finland always is. A fan? Maybe after Mikko's breakthrough season.

Actually, I don't think my wife would mind even if she reads this. She'd probably just laugh. She's got a great sense of humor, and that's what I love about her (see honey, I CAN SAY NICE THINGS TOO! )
Yeah but theres 28 other teams he could chose. It would take more than a gun to head to make me say the Ducks.
Well, it is Teemu's team... everybody likes him, right?
And I have another good excuse as well; When Mighty Ducks joined the league in '93 my 12-year old little sister thought their logo looked cool (...who am I kidding, so did I ) Anyway, she wrote a letter to the Ducks saying how much she likes the team and so on, and snail-mailed it to the States. It was before internets'n'stuff so things weren't that easy. I thought she was never going to get an answer, but she did. They send him some kinda letter and autographed pictures of superstars like Jarrod Skalde and Todd Ewen. It was probably something any team would have done, but I thought it was a nice gesture and she was really happy. I think she had that picture of Jarrod Skalde on her wall for years. So that's one reason I have a tiny soft spot in my heart for the Ducks.
