After watching this, I gained a lot of respect for Walker. I still hate Homer for making the trade but now I'll try to keep Walker off of my s**t list for being somewhat badass.

I gotta say, as much as I hate the directions Holmgren has gone this off season, there is just something about a guy fighting for your team.........I think it's underestimated on these boards what it does for the momentum of the star players too, IMO

They have conflicting philosophies in the long run. There's going to be a point where Laviolette is going to pay for Holmgren's mistakes, and we're all just going to get irate and pissed off all over again. The team played Pittsburgh much better when they weren't worried about proving how much tougher they were and winning the fights.

gotta agree its like Homer is taking all the tools away from Lavy, and then expecting him to pick right up were he left off..
cant say i understand Homer at all so far, but my faith as a Flyersfan is unwavering..

i'm willing to let every new player (this includes Leighton) start with a fresh slate and go from there as far as a hero or bum..
i gotta beleive Homer has some info that all us arm chair generals dont.. no way he could hold his position making some of these decisions if there isnt something going on behind clsed doors we dont know of.
It'd be great to have Walker if we signed him as a free agent or if we traded a mediocre prospect for him, but we traded a 25+ goal scorer and a phenomenal defensive winger for the younger version of Jason Smith. I'm really surprised we couldn't receive a strong prospect for Gags.
