Leafs - Kings - Bruins

I was thinking of a deal to get Wheeler on Maple Leafs but it seems like Boston probably will only rid Wheeler if there are takers for Savard. So i had to bring in the third team, L.A Kings. Kings just lost out on Kovalchuk and may look to add offense in another way. So my proposal is..

TML gets: Wheeler
BB gets: Handzus + Mid prospect (LAK) + J. Blacker (TML)
LAK gets: Savard + Late pick (TML)

Boston gets there cap space to sign some of their players.
Kings take a risk on Savard (this could be high reward), at low cap hit
Toronto gets Wheeler, probably a 3rd line player but would definitely get a chance on our 2nd line and have chance to show if he belongs in the top 6.

Obviously Bruin fans will have problem with Handzus coming there way and Wheeler coming to Toronto but other than that can i be flamed in any other way? i think its fair Value wise

No from the Leafs, seems like another "lets trade prospect for proven player from Boston" trade

Good deal but I think Boston would want a little more than just Handzus and 2 prospects for Wheeler and Savard.
Toronto needs to add more than just a late pick as that is useless to Boston.

What a backwards deal. It makes no sense for Boston whatsoever.

Bruins get nailed.

Leafs gain Wheeler for absoltoley free.

Kings get injury prone Savard on a great deal, for Handzus on a 4M deal....

Awful deal for Boston. They give Savard AND Wheeler for garbage.

Kings have no desire to deal Handzus AND he's got a NMC.

Handzus for Savard...of course the kings wouldn't do that because of their HUGE depth in the centre position.

Boston gets hosed and Toronto runs away laughing. I'd hate to lose Handzus but it would be a good trade for LA, depending on the prospect

Personally.... I see no incentive for the B's to do this... if you're talking about Handzus vs. Savard I don't think there's any debate as to who you take for $4m on the cap and they're not going to trade Blake Wheeler for a couple of mid prospects. If they were, they'd be better off removing the either the kings or leafs from the deal and dealing Wheeler straight up (likely to the Kings) for Hickey + a mid-tier guy.

On the Kings side... assuming Savard was willing to go there and Handzus waives his NMC....this is truly an incredible deal for them.

On the Leafs side...where do they sign?

That prospect could develop into a top 4 D man in a couple years. Blacker is actually a very good prospect, and I think he is a little bit of a hidden gem. I think he will find an offensive game and may put up decent numbers in the NHL... HOLY ******!!1!

EDIT: If I was Toronto I do take this though

Don't get me wrong, I do like Blacker. But he is still atleast 3 years away with the depth the leafs have at D. Trading Blacker for Wheeler is AMAZING! I don't understand what leaf fan in the right mind would say no to this deal. Yet I've seen a post already with a leaf fan saying "leafs say no". WTF? Leafs jump on this harder than I would jump on erica kane.

Counter Proposal:
To LAK: Savard(King's 2nd line centre),
To Bos: Hickey(7.5C prospect on hf), Kaberle(tomas)
To Tor: Moller(Gritty with top 6 potential), Wheeler(Power forward)

I don't need flaming, I just need you to tell me what each team should add.

Why would you counter the offer. Leafs are not adding Kaberle the deal is what i proposed like it or not. Kabs stays with Leafs unless a for sure top 6 is coming back to us.

I'd probably do it... and I'd do it even quick if the Bruins could get rid of either Hunwick or Ference in the deal as well to allow us a bit more flexibility on d.

....Wheeler would be a Top6 winger and Moller could possibly play this season as well.

If in fact the B's were prepared to do that one....both teams would be better off removing the kings entirely as all they are adding are Moller (who Toronto doesnt want) and Hickey (a questionable prospect at this point). Personally, I dont thinlk that trading Wheeler should even be considered by the B's though.

If the Leafs were offered Savard + Wheeler for Kaberle + Blacker + a pick.... that's a deal that they should do. If they can get Hunwick added into the deal aswell (with an additional later pick included from Toronto), that's an even better deal for toronto.

The fact is Savard (injury prone) is in the same situation as Gagne (maybe worst due to term) you dont give your best trading chip (Kaberle) plus a decent to good prospect just because Wheeler is added. L.A is getting hosed in this deal HARD. You can almost say the same for Toronto.

If anything, I'd say trim off the fat and cut Toronto out of this completely.

Savard for Handzus+picks/prospects

LA gets a solid one-two punch with Kopitar and Savard down the middle without losing too much, and Boston saves 4M for the 6 years after next, while adding depth to their prospect pool.

Wheeler is Poni 2.0 so I don;t know what Leaf fans see in him. I don;t even know how stuck the Bruins are on him right now.

Seriously though, there is no logic here from Boston's perspective. Neither player we receive fills a team need and since Wheeler isn't signed, we clear lose cap space.
