Eriksson.

It's kind of funny that our two best prospects are goalies.

Its more refreshing than funny, because thats what we need most.

And after that, the talent level goes WAY down.

The talent level doesn't go way down. Instead of having an embarrassment of forward riches like the Flyers have had in the past, the riches are now in the areas of defense and goaltending. For years, the forward prospects in Philadelphia have been the areas of strength and the defense and goaltending have been weak. Now, there's a real good group of defensemen in Adirondack. I'll continue to harp on this, but the real issue isn't talent, it's coaching. As long as Idiot Stick remains in Adirondack, the kids will never get the coaching they need to succeed. Part of me is really glad that Eriksson is in the SEL and Idiot Stick doesn't have a chance to sink his claws into him.

The talent level goes down, but we have a lot of solid depth prospects so it's not all bad. Marshall should be a good bottom four guy and Bartulis has proven he's a bottom pairing guy. Legein has good upside as a third liner. Maroon has potential as well.

I like Nodl too, but I voted for Bartulis. The kid goalies might turn out, or not. Bartulis and Nodl are NHL players - it's too bad we didn't save room for them in the lineup.

Yep. It was a toss up between Eriksson and Bobrovsky for me anyway.

Should Bartulis even be on the list anymore?

It is, but even if they're were not that much better than the rest we'd desperately want to think they are right now. So, are we being deluded?

At first I was thinking "finally we have some top prospects that are goalies" and then I realized neither is really a projected stud and that it's less of an attribute to our goalies and more of a knock to our other prospects. If this were 2 years ago and both goalies were far along in their development Eriksson would be 5th behind Giroux, JVR, Sbisa and Bobo and maybe one or two more guys. What can you do?

Went with Maroon here because he has the size and hands to be a top 9 forward. Both of the goalies have a higher ceiling but how Sunshine plays in the elite league will go along way towards his standing IMO.
