Dubinsky will win a fight against someone other than Mike Richards

Boogieman will drop the gloves in the home opener and people will debate the contract he was given more

Wade will lead the AHL in +/-

Gilroy gets traded

Huggy Bear does not

Redden will win the Norris Trophy.

And scores 63 points 60 G 3 A (HIS Assists are tap-in goals scored by Boogard)

Boogard scores 3 goals see above.

Drury wins Selke.

Rangers sign Marek Malik and he is second in Norris Trophy standings

Gaborik scores 140 points. All in 71 games, injures himself while hailing a cab. HF posters worldwide, go insane and want him traded instantly.

Hank has a 2.12 GAA and fights Ryan Miller......... twice. 1 draw 1 HUGE WIN

All while Torts is filling up water bottles with pee waiting to go to Washington.

Drury retires using his final intangible.

Avery is Avery.

Callahan is named Captain.

Sather quits smoking..

Gab and Hank get injured yet the rRangers still battle it out for the 8 seed and get swept by NJ Right before NJ loses to 7 seed Atlanta

Redden proclaims that he has lived up to his contract so the fans should be grateful and commits suicide the next day by "stabbing himself in the back 4 times and throwing himself off a roof"

1. Slats leaves the organization and decides to take a position testing and writing for Cigar Aficianado
2. Messier becomes the GM and he's better than Steve Yzerman and fleeces Chicago for Hjalmarsson.
3. Renney convinces Tambellini that a clutch player and leader like Drury and a PPQB like Redden are the players he needs to turn things around in Edmonton.
4. Drury waives his NMC to play somewhere else
5. Dolan sells the team to Google who has new and creative ideas to collect and search scouting data to use it for intelligent drafting and UFA signing.

1)Tortorella will stop hating most skilled European players
2)All of the 2010-2011 rookies will have severe sophomore slumps
3)Glen Sather will spend wisely in the free agent market
4)Michael Del Zotto will shut the mouths of all his detractors
5)The Rangers will finish higher than 8th in the conference
6)Matt Gilroy won't be qualified and will sign with the Bruins and win the Norris
7)Brandon Dubinsky and Ryan Callahan will break the 30 goal mark
8)Gaborik will score 30 in the 29 games he plays all year

- Dubi and Callahan both score upwards of 30 - 30.
- Henrik plays amazing hockey all year and doesn't win the Vezina because zombie Tim Thomas played one game that he got a shutout in and therefore has superior stats.
- MZA ducks and skates under Chara's legs to score the highlight goal of the year.
- Both Avery and Wolski are on the opening night roster.

Well, time to pack up the thread, boys. Nothing can top that.

I predict Dubi and Cally score 60 points and Gabby scores 40 goals.

1. Rangers make a big trade involving picks and prospects for an established top line scorer. The player coming back will be someone no one will see coming.

2. Lundqvist actually wins the Vezina next season

3. Gaborik scores 40 again and plays more than 70 games

4. One of Kreider or Thomas will be on the NHL roster to start out the season

5. McDonagh enters the realm of one of the elite defensive defensemen in the league as soon as the end of next season

6. Del Zotto continues to disappoint, gets an NHL cup of coffee due to injury but plays at least 50 games with the Whale next season

7. Wolski is NOT traded/bought out and is on the roster to start the season

Messier speaks out starts to make his presence known and the ďMessier eraĒ is born and a new Head coach named by Messier comes in at the end of the season.

2)Ryan Callahan gets off to the best start of his career as he nets 15 before the all star game.

3) The economy sets in hard at MSG this year with the lowest attendance records the club has ever had.

4) Rangers swing a deal with the Ottawa Senators for Matty Carkner bringing the physical element they wanted for their Blue line. Also officially cementing the 2010/11 NY Rangers as the BROADWAY Bullies! Flyer and Leafs games will be fun again!

5) Dale Weise makes the club as an extra forward and earns a spot on the team as a 3rd liner.
OK, so last season I basically **** the bed with my not-so-unusual, unusual predictions...

1) Torts actually seemed far more calm this year than in years past. I was way off on this one.
2) Cally got off to a decent start, but the injuries set him back
3) The economy definitely took its toll on the Garden. Numbers-wise I donít think it was as bad as my prediction, but it was noticeable this past season.
4) Ok, so the Rangers didnít get Carkner and the Rangers certainly didnít become the Broadway Bullies however, they werenít pushed around either.
5) Dale Weise did play ten games but didnít even score a point let alone play 3rd line duties.

OK, so being that the thread is UNUSUAL predictions, here we go...

2011/2012 PredictionsÖ

Brad Richards July 1st. 5 year deal no trade clause. <--OK, so this in not so unusual.

Avery has a rebound season, and actually gets time with Richards and Gaborik on the first line. <--OK, so this is not unusual either!

Drury remains and captains the NY Rangers for the remainder of the season, Wolski ends up on the Carolina Hurricanes and has a tremendous season. <--Drury staying is obvious for cap restrictions, Wolski ending up in Carolina is well...Random!

All RFA's return except for one who gets dealt at the draft for a prospect plus a pick.

Ethan Werek makes the NY Rangers pay

We will have 4 players pass the 30 goal mark.

Lundqvist finally wins his Vezina.

We will have a Calder worthy rookie who won't get nominated, and then we'll all flip out about it.
