I'll never forget what the anti-chambre guys called Benoit Pouliot when the Habs first got him. Un Québécois de frontière. HE'S FROM ONTARIO.

lol, I can already picture them bashing the Habs at the 2011 draft for not moving up to draft the next Vincent Lecavalier, Sean Couturier.

Yeah, in Montreal NHL hockey is such a cultural institution that every moron feels obligated to have an opinion on the Habs even if they know jack all about hockey and aren't even really interested in it. For social reasons everyone has to pretend to be involved, especially during important periods.

At least in a city like Raleigh or Los Angeles, fans will actually be genuinly interested in the team and the sport of hockey and not "forced" by peer pressure to stick a flag to their car and post talkbacks or call radio shows with their lobotimized opinions.

If Quebec nationalists took their heads out of their ***** once in a while they'd realize that French-Canadians from other provinces (mostly ON, NB & MB) don't really like them or want to be associated with them.

Born in NB but grew up in Quebec. He is quebecois, same case as Matthieu Proulx or Francis Boullion

Not calling quebecois a guy who lived in Quebec for almost all his life is a lot worse than saying that Pouliot or Giroux are quebecois.
