I love having cap space, except when my team becomes everyone's bad contract dumping ground on HF.

Take out Mueller, put in someone else (Stoa or McLeod). He's very important as a point man to this team.

Not that bad a proposal though, especially if Colorado managed to trade Thomas later.

Thomas is a # 1 Anderson is not, Ference is a good vet d colorado could use, Wheeler could use a change, plus a second rd pick fair value for both teams

Why does Colorado do this?

We have absolutely no desire to trade Mueller.

Liles appears in numerous trade proposals, but his contract isn't so bad that we NEED to get rid of him.

Budaj is a very capable backup.

We don't need Thomas...we're happy with Anderson (and his very cap-friendly contract).

Ference isn't an upgrade to our D. If anything, he delays the rebuild and takes a roster spot from one of our D prospects (one of which MIGHT prove to be a good enough PMD to make Liles expendable).

Wheeler and Minny's 2nd isn't enough to make this worthwhile to the Avs.

We wouldn't be able to. However, if management is willing to pay up. I would love to take a salary dump for someone like Wheeler. This trade currently gives the Avs zero incentive since Mueller cancels out Wheeler.

Thomas has won a vezina and his numbers were actually not that bad last year as a backup

Yeah, like I said, remove Mueller before we start to talk. I would LOVE Wheeler on this team though.

And I wonder if Thomas becomes movable at the deadline. Only 2 years left, right? Someone's gotta need a good goalie sometime...right?

come on Bruins fans, some of the proposals in here have been very Maple Leaf like lately, we all know we don't want to start to get that reputation.

obviously the Av's don't do this.

We've seen better goalies (accounting for salary and age) go for almost nothing. Thomas' contract has 4 more years left. 2 more years than Liles. He will be almost 40 near the end of his contract, and his contract can never be off the books even if he retires.

NVM 2 more years left. 1 more year than liles. Still bad since Andy and Thomas would make a combined 8 mill together. We can still make it work, if Boston makes it worth it.

Wheeler will be a force on a young offensive team he just cannot seem to get going under Juliens system And Ference is a good d-man when healthy and can help the youg guys in colorado Timmy will be the #1 over anderson and may take them deeper in the playoffs the second rd pick should be decent aswell I like Mueller alot thats why i added him to this proposal

"Timmy" will not be the number 1 over Anderson.

Thomas' contract is ludicrous for a goalie his age. Thomas has negative value, and you want us to give up Mueller too?

This trade doesn't help the Avs at all. Horrible.

well, remove him, or it's a flat no from CO. No incentive to take Thomas unless we're getting a net talent increase.

The fact that the proposal is capped with a projected bruins roster kinda makes it hard to believe the perspective of the other team involved that also kinda wants to improve their roster and assets was fully considered.

Boston gets 2 of the top 3 assets in this trade, and they're the team that needs to move salary.
