Well his CV doesn't look too shabby.. Hopefully he will turn out to be a better pro-scout than Gautier..

he recommended Corvo, Nylander etc... + he was one of those who would have keep Huet in WAS at 5.6M when Cristo ask if they will match the offer.

Jose Theodore at $4.5m or Cristobal Huet at $5.6m? At the time it was probably a split with many in the Washington camp.

Were'd you get this info anyways?

????

The Verdun Maple Leafs was the name of three ice hockey clubs that existed in Verdun, Quebec, including a senior hockey team, and two junior teams. The Maple Leafs played home games at the Verdun Auditorium.

Rocket Richard even played for "the leafs"!

And I think he also dropped Yvon Lamber with one punch but I can't find a clip.

As of the start of the 2001-02 season, Carriere remains in his position as Assistant General Manager of the Buffalo Sabres. His duties include overseeing the development of professional players in the minor leagues. That's pretty impressive. However it kinda makes me curious why he was only a Pro Scout after being an Assistant GM for so long. Kinda seems like a demotion and that no one was interested in him.

Interesting Molson connection though.

An assistant GM job really depend on who the GM is, I don't think '' no one was interested in him'' because he was no more an assistant GM.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but does anyone know if the Habs are still going to bring someone in to be the Bulldogs GM? I know Whitesnake talked about it, but the media hasn't really said much since Carriere was brought in.

RDS had reported that Kevin Gilmore (LA Kings) was a front runner to replace Brisebois

You can see his linkedin profile here: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/kevin-gilmore/b/b99/363

Seems as though he has a legal background and was the lead negotiator for the Kings in a number of aspects including player contracts.

Montreal's Assistant GM is Hamilton's GM, simple as that.

How come you guys don't know who Lanny Carrière is ? I mean you don't know anything about the NHL if you didn't know who he is. He played for the Sabres !
