I, for one, hope he's right on this one. I've always liked Bieksa.
Mind you I don't know if I'd give up AK for him though and salary-wise and such it's the only player going back the other I can think of that would make sense.
Hate to say it but I think we still need AK as inconsistent and lost as his is sometimes.

I'd include Andrei in a Bieksa trade if it's something more sunstantial where Burrows and O'Brien would be involved too. We could put O'Byrne in there and something else.

But yea I know they want to keep Burrows but we could give them...
...an offer they can't refuse!
Actually you said sunstantial
Yeah Burrows would be amazing for sure. But we already have Lapierre who is sort of a version of his to a degree and Vancouver fans would riot if they traded him.
I wouldn't trade O'byrne or any defenseman for that matter though. I find we're stacked up front and a bit shy on D myself. That and I think AK for Bieksa straight up might do it. Not sure about the state of the D in Vancouver though mind you.

I think we have lot of D, just average-to-bad ones. (and we would get two in my trade anyway)
Hmmm...You know more about the Nucks than I do but are you sure about that?
Seems to me he would look great on any 3rd or even 2nd line in the NHL. Energy, balls, grit, smarts and hands. I would think he actually helps the Sedins be as good as they can be if anything.

Plus it's not like Cammy and Plek are chopped livers. He would be well surrounded.
And Vancouver has a lot of guys that knows how to rough it up and fight, so Burrows can trash talk all he want... not sure he could do that on the Habs, althought we'd get back Bieksa and O'Brien (in that same supposition) who can nock 'em...
Still would love to have Bieksa, he's exactly what we lack since Souray left, offensive, physical, and injury prone...

I would love that diving pansy with Cammy and Plekanec.
Agreed, he'd take a lot of attention away from Pleks and Cammy with his presence alone. Other teams just like to hit him and he can take it. It's what make him and Lapierre so similar but he's also a scoring threat who can play on the top lines with the right players. The problem is I think it would cost us a little more then Andrei and O'byrne to get him away from the 'nucks. I really doubt they move him a season after he posted 35 goals. You really don't see a lot of agitators who can play proficiently on the top lines either, Ott is the only other player who comes to mind.

Agreed.
They aren't moving him so the best thing we can do is hope Lapierre becomes somewhat of a similar player.
35 goals eh? Wow. Didn't realize he had 35 last year. Not bad for an undrafted agitator!
