This is my list. I strongly considered each year since the lockout, stats, and of course, actual play:

My top-10 goalie list:

1. Martin Bordeur
2. Niklas Backstrom
3. Henrik Lundqvist
4. Tomas Vokoun
5. Roberto Luongo
6. Miikka Kipursoff
7. Ryan Miler
8. Evgeni Nabakov
9. Tim Thomas
10. Cam Ward

HM: Rick DiPietro, JS Giguere, Marty Turco

I know everyone loves Miller, but 09-10 was the first year he had a sub 2.50 GAA.

Although it is certainly a debatable issue as to who is the clear and away number 1, Henrik sure as hell is no number 8.

This. Also, 1st really great season for Miller and he's #1? Big LOL.

I'd love to find a way to squeeze Rinne into my Top 10, dude's so underrated it's not even funny.

I'm not saying he's not a great goalie, but he sure as hell isn't the 2nd best in the world.

In terms of ability, no, but in terms of the last 4 years, his stats and play justify him at that spot for me.

Even hockey "media" is a joke, it's tough to be a fan these days of a dying sport.

At least in football or baseball circles they don't look at one year wonders and put them on a top 10 list. They value that old something called consistency and rate it higher than one wow year. They also recognize the impact of the team around a player and adjust accordingly so a guy like Cliff Lee makes any top 10 list regardless of win/loss record.

This list is a joke. Miller has a magical year and now he's the best in the game? Craig Anderson - a ZERO time Vezina finalist is better than Hank - a 3 time Vezina finalist??? Good thing it's not 2009 otherwise the legendary Steve Mason is in the top 5 bumping Hank even lower.

Oh, and as for Backstrom - he has Brodeur-itis - plays on a defense first team and is overrated with his .903 save %. Yeah, I'm one of those guys who thinks Brodeur is the Emmitt Smith of hockey. Hasek, like Barry Sanders, is actually the best of our time - did it with no help.

The real question is who would you trade straight up? I would trade Hank for NO ONE on that list. Enough said.

Yes. Backstrom's stats are ridiculously inflated, as were Fernandez' and Roloson's when they were with the Wild under Lemaire.

This just shows there are a lot of really good goalies in the NHL... Hank is definately one of them... But Hank has to be listed better than 8...

The really strange one on the list is Craig Anderson at #4... Let me see Anderson play to that level at least another year... also.... same with Jimmy Howard...

The other goalies on the list are damn good goalies and wouldn't mind having the rest of the goalies on the list on my team anyday.

The list seems to focus more on what the goalies did last year then what they have actually done for their careers.

It's the only way to justify putting Anderson and Howard so high. Heck, I don't even think Anderson was the 4th best goalie last year.

I'm pretty sure they just took the goalie ratings from NHL10.

lol @ Miller, Bryzgalov, Anderson and Howard's places.

If we are going to do a list based on last season's performances, then Halak has to be at the top.

It's getting extremely sickening how Lundqvist is being treated around the league. Unbelievable.

Really? #8? Try the best goalie in the league right now, and this is without bias. The guy has elevated his game to ridiculous levels. He's very consistent. Only goalie in NHL history to record five straight 30-win season to begin their career (2005–06 to present). After him it's Miller.

Case closed, the bias against the Rangers continues and is stronger than ever.

Since the lockout, Lundqvist has the 2nd best GAA and 4th best save percentage in the league out of goalies who have played at least 200 games in that timeframe.

Lundqvist is a top 5 goalie at worst.
