Went with Lehtivuori again. The fact that Bartulis is still on the prospect list is a joke.

I'm surprised that Michael Chaput isn't on the list.

I put Legein solely because he turns out to be absolute money in NHL 10.

I was between Bourdon and Lehtivuori (because everyone seems so high on him) but I went with Bourdon, because of the two, I feel like he likely has a better chance of eventually making the NHL due to the size of Lehtivuori. Is Maroon really that good?

Lehtivuori again. Anyone who watched the Phantoms last season knows that behind maybe Backlund, 21 yr old Lehtivuori was our top player.

I hate looking at this threads. The only thing Homer seems to posses is an eye for talent, but it doesn't even matter because trades every pick he has.

I can't remember when I was less excited about a group of prospects. The worst part is that it's not going to get better in the next year or two.

Bartulis winning the last one is pretty bad. If we are going by pure upside/potential then he is a bottom of the list type of guy.

I personally rank him 5th of our defensemen behind Marshall, Bourdon, Gustaffson and Lehtivuori in terms of pure potential.

Voting Maroon 'til he cracks the list.

It's really not so bad, but you're right about there not really being much to get excited about.

I'm thinking the day Holmgren gets fired is going to be even better than the day Stevens got fired, because at least Stevens could only **** up with guys who were already on the team.

It's funny how people mention it's not a great group of prospects. For years, the issue in Philadelphia has always been a pipe line of exceptionally talented forwards, but the cupboard was empty in terms of defensemen and goaltenders. Now, the tables are turning and we're seeing a good pipeline of goaltenders and some really, really, really good young defensemen and all of a sudden, it's not very exciting.

I will say this though. In terms of young forwards, I guarantee you everyone is going to love Michael Chaput when he gets to Philadelphia. I got some video from some of my friends who are scouts in the Quebec league and he's going to be a really, really good centerman who will anchor the third line. He's very good defensively, he's excellent on faceoffs, he's one of the fastest skaters in the QMJHL and more important, when put into an offensive role (last season, he played a defensive role the first half of the season) he scored 33 points in 31 games. On top of it, he just turned 18, so he still has two full years of playing in the Q before he makes the jump. I'm telling you, this kid is going to be real good.

The thing to remember though was that the pipeline with all the forwards was going to eventually dry up. I'm glad that they've stocked up in other places and that we'll probably see three or four of Bourdon, Marshall, Lehtivuori, and Gustafsson in the NHL very soon.
