Boyle-Christensen-Prust

Staal-Girardi

Dubinsky-Christensen-Gaborik
Prospal-Anisimov-Zuccarello Aasen
Avery-Drury-Callahan
Prust-Boyle-Boogard
Weise

Staal-Girardi
Del Zotto-Rozsival
McDonagh-Gilroy
Eminger

Lundqvist
Biron

That would be my guess. Although Torts will mix it up midway through the 2nd period on opening night...

Difficult to say for sure. To loosely quote the GM (cant remember his name...lol), he said something along the lines of "we picked him up to put him in one of our top lines". It was something to that effect anyway

I dont think that he would be very effective if he got put on the 3rd or 4th line. He is a playmaker rather than a shut-down guy or grinder.

But all of this is of course something the Rangers coaching staff already knows very well, so i guess it really depends on him in training camp

As it stands, I'd have to guess;

Prospal-Christensen-Gaborik
Dubinsky-Anisimov-MZA
Avery-Drury-Callahan
Boogaard-Boyle-Prust

Pretty much the same as jniklast, except I think Prospal stays with Gaborik.

Is Christensen a #1 center? I know he is an excellent faceoff guys, so he is above Drury and Anisimov? What about Grachev? Is he nhl ready?

I don't think Grachev makes the team from the get-go.

I also think that Anisimov should have MZA on his wing. This 3rd line might provide quite a bit of energy, and we've seen the 2nd line here has done well in the past. 1st line is a gimme.

Prospal(17)-Christensen(16)-Gaborik(41)
Dubinsky(22)-Drury(19)-Callahan(19)
Avery(15)-Anisimov(18)-MZA(14)
Boogard(0)-Boyle(4)-Prust(9)

Staal(7)-Girardi(5)
Rozsival(7)-DZ(12)
McD(4)-(insert FA vet signing here/Valentenko/Sauer)(3)

Also threw goal total estimates in there for fun. Pretty realistic, IMO. However, it adds up to 232 goals. That's a dab more offense than the previous few years. But that's assuming everyone stays completely healthy, which isn't going to happen.

Christensen isn't 'a' #1 C, but he's this teams #1 C. Unfortunately.

Like someone said previously, i really believe the Rangers should go after Mitchell. So McDonagh have a safe spot with the team?

I would have to say so (about McD). I'm not opposed to getting Mitchell, but we have more important options to address at this point in Staal and the offense.

McD and Stepan signing, and the fact that I have great confidence in them, make me believe strongly that their camps will be phenomenal, however, Stepan will probably fall just short because a 4th line center role wouldn't make much sense for him.

Redden is a goner and Gilroy is right behind him.

I forget Stepan, Eliteprospect put him on the roster. Like you said, i don't see him take Anisimov or Drury's place at center.

I feel pretty confident in saying Drury will never be this teams #1 C. Anisimov maybe, but not Drury.

With Frolov:

Frolov - Christensen - Gaborik
Dubinsky - Anisimov - MZA
Prospal - Drury - Callahan
Avery - Boyle - Prust/Weise/Boogaard

Staal - Girardi
Del Zotto - Rozsival
Redden - McDonagh
Gilroy/Eminger

Something along these lines I guess. I would rather see Frolov on 2nd line but I think Dubinsky is a much better fit for Anisimov than Frolov. Also Prospal kinda gets wasted on 3rd line but there's nowhere really to put him.
