Next great Ranger forward combo?

Arguably the last really great forward combo we had in New York was the trio of Straka-Nylander-Jagr from 2005-2007. What is going to be the next line combo to light the lamp 90 to 100 times a year (including PP time of course)?

I think Callahan - Prospal - Gaborik would have potential... but I'd really like to see what Dubinsky - Anismov - Gaborik can do.

Well aware, but as a right handed shot I don't think the transition would be all that difficult and I would love to see some grit and forecheck on the top line opening up some ice for Gaborik.

You can't form a great line with the current players on the Rangers. There isn't enough talent to rival the Straka-Nylander-Jagr line.

Tough to say. When was the last time we accurately predicted what the team would look like at the end of the season? Let alone a few years from now?

That being said, there's something telling me that Anisimov and MZA are going to really click on the ice. Throw a guy like Dubinsky out there with them to open up the ice and I think we'd see some magic. Just a feeling.

Christensen - Gaborik

Nah I think Ani and Dubi will click and play really well together. Just a hunch.

Then substitiute Dubinsky (or for that matter Frolov since he appears to be on the verge of signing). But, let's not continue to play around with playing players out of position. It's something the current regime has done repeatedly and it doesn't work.

Callahan has had success playing RW and fits that role nicely. Let's leave it at that, rather than trying to force him into something he's not.

We don't need two lineup threads, even if they're asking slightly different things. Use the other one.
