Serge Boisvert named Quebec scout

According to Michel Roy of NRJ radio's Twitter page, Serge Boisvest will be named Quebec scout for the Habs. He will be replacing Denis Morel.

None that i know of. He has been on the road for the last year as a special assignement coach/scout for the team. He would go visit the drafted college players and check up on them or something like that. The details were never really clear.

I'm definitely alright with this move. We obviously needed to add some scouts after the clean-up that Gauthier did and this seems like a solid pickup.

instead having individual thread for each scout, here's the mother load.

Janks is very much responsible for the young Islanders talent pool right now. Good pickup, you'll be happy with him.

Don't know them, but they seem like good acquisitions with a lot of experience. Really like that Ryan Jankowski hiring. Director of amateur scouting of the Islanders the past 4 years and they have made some good picks during those years.

"Since Jankowski began managing the scouting staff in 2006, the Islanders have drafted - among others - talented young players such as John Tavares, Kyle Okposo, Travis Hamonic, Josh Bailey, Matt Martin, Kirill Petrov, Kirill Kabanov, Andrew MacDonald, Brock Nelson, David Ullstrom, Kevin Poulin, Calvin de Haan, Mikko Koskinen and Casey Cizikas."

Well a baboon would look good drafting for the Islanders. They've had more than good draft picks in the last 5 seasons because they always finished really low. I mean since 2005-06 they qualified just once for the playoffs in 2006-07 and have not made the playoffs since.

Gimme great draft picks llike that and i'll appoint Habs10Habs as my head of scouting and he'll look great at it!

Im extremely excited about this chance to work for a great and historic organization like the Montreal Canadiens, said Jankowski.

Haha, no offense to h10h, love the guy, but give me that many draftpicks and I appoint Montreal or Whitesnake. It'll give me enough free time to plan the parade route.

Seeing as how I don't know anything about those guys the Habs have appointed, I can only say that Habs10Habs would look great doing anything. Heck, just last week, I saw him washing his car. I don't know if it was the sun glistening off his wet, shirtless torso or the soap suds crowding around his tight cut-off jeans, but he looked grrrreat! On the other hand, maybe it was just the 7 or 8 pina coladas that made him look that. I mean, move over Ned Flanders.

I don't know who Serge Boisvert is, I should change sport...

Anyway can't really tell what the scouts have accomplished but some seem like very good scouts (Jankowski)
