Frolov isn't going to **** the bed. Enough of that. On talent alone he's a lock for 50+ pts.
If I had to guess, I'd say he cracks 60 pts with us. Around 63-66 points.
If your referring to my post, I do not believe he will **** the bed. I was simply pointing out that you can't not like this post because even if he does (I don't think he will) he is gone after a year. I think he will fall between 50-70 points.
We now have a shot at some secondary scoring this year. Not to mention, 3 mil leaves plenty (over 5 mil) left to match a Staal offer sheet, if we had to.
To bring back an oldie;
Wade Redden, done in NY.
Good Day eh. I am not a Rangers fan but I am curious what happpened to Redden ? How did you guys shed that contract ?
Not a bad lineup at all... What about MZA?? also, I would put Drury centering the 2nd line and have AA centering the 3rd line... I would also have Avery on the third line and have Prust on the 4th line...
I don't think anyone can say anything bad about this signing if the rumored terms (1y/$3M) are correct. As has been said before, he either fits in well and earns another contract or can be moved for futures at the deadline.
That said, I wholeheartedly believe that MZA was signed to play a top 6 role on this team, and we all know that Prospal and Gabby are BFF. Call me crazy, but I think this team now has too many top 6 forwards: Gaborik, Frolov, Prospal, MZA, Anisimov, Christensen, Dubinsky. I'm expecting a trade, and my gut tells me that Dubinsky is going to be the odd man out, if for nothing else other than Slats might be anticipating another tough contract negotiation with him next off-season. I'm hoping that's not the case, because I expect a big year from Dubinsky.
All that said, this team is still bouncing around the playoff bubble all year in my opinion. They are by no means contenders, and really still not a "safe" bet for the POs. The Atlantic is just too good.

There's 1 name that doesn't fit on that list of top 6. Guess who. The sad part is some of you have him playing the most important position on the club.
great pickup for those terms...i was fearing a 4 year, $20 mil deal. but for those terms its low risk, high reward and gives us some badly needed depth
