Polushaj for me, his production is quite reasonable considering his age could still grow a little and gain some weight i love how pg got such a young player for dagostini bennett hasnt proved much yet...
Palushaj was an All Star in the USHL, put up impressive numbers in the NCAA (but so did Pacioretty, who was named CCHA All Rookie team over Palushaj) but the blues weren't happy with his development in the AHL. Once he came over to Hamilton he played well, works hard, has some jam to his game, I've heard he's got some good moves in the SO but I don't think he scored on any with the Dogs (i'd have to look that up though) he's a playmaker first and foremost, decent size, and seems good enough in his own end. Not sure what his upside is, but at this point I'd say it's around a solid 3rd liner, two way RW.
Bennett is more raw and still in the very early stages of his development. I've heard he was impressive in the USHS, in the USHL he was on the top pairing, top PK and top PP units. Was named to the All Star team for the World Junior A Challenge and the USHL All Stars as well as the USHL All Rookie Team. He was tabbed as an offensive D at the draft as he likes to rush the puck up ice but he's made big strides in his defensive game as evidenced by his making the All Star team at the World Junior A's. Doesn't have the biggest frame, but he should hopefully fill out a bit more as he's still young. Moves well for sure, but what I find most impressive about him is his poise with the puck in his own end, plays with no fear, no panick. But we'll see how he adjusts to the next level in the fall.
I dont agree but I cant do nothing. I think Carle and Bennett deserve to be in front of him.
It's all done for fun anyway. With Palushaj he's already excelled in the NCAA whereas Bennett is more of an unknown so some will want to wait and see what he can do. Plus he continues on with the trend of Michigan players in our system. Craig Murray ('98 draft), Komisarek, Pacioretty, Palushaj, Pateryn and now Bennett.
