Funny fake documentary about the Habs

I was in Rouyn-Noranda this week-end at a film festival that's called "documenteur", a festival that showcases mostly fake documentaries. They showed the whole 15 minute of the movie "Le centenaire... la vraie histoire" there but you can see the trailer that gives a good idea of the full feature. I don't know if the full movie is ever gonna be online or when and where it's gonna be shown next, but try to look it up. It's a good laugh!

Hey ! This was made by my friend Vincent Rouleau this winter. He is coaching an improv team at the LNI in Montreal. (I play for the yellow team by the way...)

It was presented during the "Panel de la Sainte Flanelle" at the Belmont.

I am the narrator of this very funny mockumentary.

Thanks for posting the link.

No prob! Do you know if there's gonna be any screenings? Or if it's gonna be available somewhere eventually?

Just 5 seconds in but "La vrai histoire"?

Lots of people will stop right there.

Don't you think it's voluntary? Just like "le plan quiquennale" and "Bob Gainer" ?

Don't know yet about a release, but Vincent says :

Sorry, it's in french...

I was surprised that there were only 9 views when I first posted this thread. I hope that your friend didn't want to keep his work under the radar! If so, my bad! ;-)

I found it funny. Good job.

I love the documentary realism type of camera work, it really makes it look like a true documentary.

I love the LNI...

So who are you?
The former host of La Guerre des Clans?
The artist formerly known as the lead singer of Laymen Twaist?
Or the best improv player of his generation?

Lead singer.

We did a few albums in the 90's, we were young and we had fun doing it.

Doubt anyone under 30 remembers us, and it's ok like this

I'm 31 and I remember you guys. Loved the Lou Reed and Joe Dassin covers. (How come you can't find any of your old videos on youtube??? Especially ''Et si tu n'existais pas'' which was pretty kickass in Black & White in the Montreal subway.)

You're a kickass improv player too. I remember the old days of the National d'Impro...

Thanks Deadpool.

Ok, sorry guys I have do go with french on that one...

Thanks again !

It seems that the director will eventually upload the complete movie in a couple of episodes on youtube, since it lasts more than 10 minutes. So you guys will finally be able to appreciate the whole thing! You can leave messages on the youtube page to show some love!!
