I do hope you get something out of him but I have a feeling you may not. If you guys thought Rads was pissy after being called out just wait till SK gets a taste of the press box or gets stapled to the bench for a period etc it is going to be on like donkey kong. Good luck with one or both you really will need it especially where SK is concerned.
Well if he wants attention, he'll get it, Hes a borderline lock to be in the NHL all season (Watch that come back to bite me in the ass in 6 months.), which is what he wants, not to be shuffled to and fro the AHL whenever Martin or Gainey doesnt like him anymore.

I think you underestimate Trotz. He does have experience handling head cases.

I think you underestimate Poile. This contract puts the pressure on "SK" and not the Preds.

You may be underestimating SK. Sometimes young men actually grow and mature.

Well as I have said good luck with him hopefully it works out but I didn't see any sign of it the last 2 seasons for sure in Montreal. It is bad when even your team mates are calling you out because of your behaviour. Gainey I thought did well with him talking to him and giving him reassurance when he sent him to Hamilton. Enough of that this is a Rads thread and we are way off topic now. So who do you think Rads will concuss if he comes back lol.

At least when you discuss SK and his problems you have first hand knowledge of the goings on. I'm a bit concerned that he won't turn out to be a good fit on our team one way or another, but if only because I have high hopes for this team if he, along with a handful of other players, can reach their potential early and keep it for the haul. The good thing is we are only on the hook for $550k. The team could buy out that contract, and moving it might not be as difficult as one would think. Cash (or cap) strapped teams might be willing to give him a shot. Of course, SK has to also realize that depending on his attitude this could easily be his last shot in the NHL. I think he'll be fine as far as that is concerned. I just hope he can put up some numbers, too.

Rads won't be giving anyone a concussion. We got rid of the big softy. We'll just be seeing Radulov put up numbers like we always hoped he'd be able to do.

LOL yes unfortunatley I do ugh far too many bad memories of this waste of space wearing our jersey. Both inLondon and in Montreal lol.

Hopefully if Rads comes back he becomes the player you hoped for I know playing under Roy in the Q helped his game just not his maturity.

Put SK on a top6 spot on a regular basis; You'll be fine with him.

Put him on a 3-4th line; Bad Sergei. And when i say bad, i mean BADDDD

You put Radoulovs sniping skills with Sk's phenomenal vision= Win. (30Goals+ For Rads mostlikely)

Nashville looks like they are playing with 3 #2 lines so 3rd line time might be the same as 1st and 2nd.

After his move from Nashville to Russia, Alexander Radulov has been very discreet with the media. But he decided to give an exclusive interview to Mikaël Lalancette of Le Soleil, in which he talked about his controversial move, about his future and about Quebec City.

RussianHockeyFans.com offers you a translation.
http://www.russianhockeyfans.com/khl...hoice-222.html

Interesting, but while Radulov does say he intends on honoring the final year of his NHL contract, he doesn't quite say when...

I read the statement a different way: "In spite of such a loud move two years ago, Radulov never crossed out a potential return in the NHL. "I'm going to take the best decision for the moment. I don't want to say 'no' to anyone, but as expected I'll honor the final year of my contract.""

I think he's saying that he'll honor the last year of his KHL contract not the Preds contract.

Yeah, I didn't see anything negative here...it actually has me more hopeful than ever that he'll be back next year. He still talks about the NHL as the dream league that everyone wants to be in. It sounds as if he doesn't regret his decision, but at the same time, his goals are clearer now.

After re-reading the quote, I agree with you that he is referencing fulfilling his final year in the KHL. As BTN says though, there's nothing really negative in the interview and he does say that he wants to return to the NHL, but as I said earlier...he just doesn't say when...

As CW33 says, he's not coming back this season, so really...it's not an issue until next summer at the earliest...

Sorry for the confusion. Radulov definitely meant his KHL contract with Salavat Yulaev

Radulov

Hello Everybody

I have lurked at hfboards for years but have only posted a few times. I have lurked on your boards a bunch because I have held on to Radulov in a dynasty league for the past 3 years and you guys usually have the inside scoop on his situation.

I haven't heard anything in a while but I remember last year on this board people were saying that he actually wanted to come back to the NHL but that he couldn't get out of his contract in Russia (something about it being a little more dangerous to do it there)

Do you guys expect him to come back next year(2011/2012) Has there been any news lately? I would like to keep him if there is a reasonable chance that he will be back next year.

Thanks very much in advance for your responses

Is anyone getting as tired of the Radulov questions as I am. There really hasn't been any new news in some time, but we seem to stay on top of any info that comes out. Yet no one checks what we have already discussed. Seems like we get the any news on Rads thread every few weeks. Tiresome. Sorry if I'm being rude.

Not really. I like having a general idea of what his thoughts are regarding a return. He's our property when he comes back and he's a good player despite being an airhead. The Radulov threads are pretty well marked so just ignore them.

Been thinking of making this thread a sticky till the season starts, but really haven't seen enough new threads on this board to warrant it. Seems a new Radulov thread pops up on Trade and Main NHL forums every week though...

Something I'll continue to monitor...

New Radulov interview. Hard to hear but if you turn it up u can understand what they say. Radulov said himself he might come back.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYRueJBy4uQ

Skip to around 6:45 when he talks about returning or not.

But truly i dont know how to take this

Huh...I gotta admit, watching from afar, I never had an inkling of a good thought about his character the way he left Nashville, but this article does make him seem to be not such an ass, gives nice kudos to the fans in Quebec and Nashville, and seems positive and takes accountability for his decisions. Also doesn't complain about the way he was villified by many, says he understands that.
