2010-11 Season Tickets

How many of you have renewed/purchased new season tickets?

I recently decided to upgrade from my mini plan to become a full fledged season ticket holder! The Times Toppers can not be beat!

Sect 311 here I come!

How much do your season tickets cost? Depending on seat of course.

I'll be paying $615 total (after tax/fees) for 2 seats 5 rows from the ceiling of the arena. Lower bowl seats start at $1,800 each.

Does anyone have season tickets from the Orlando area?

I would easily pay for season tickets, but I just don't know if I can drive all that way for every game...

I do...Im in Clermont. Although I mainly just renew the past couple of years because they are so cheap and I like always having the option of going etc. Plus the benefits are pretty decent and I love my seats and dont want to lose them haha.

I think putting a hit on her would be cheaper. How about buying out the annoying guy next to us right by the pillar?

Haven't renewed yet - waiting for after draft and free agency. Just want to make sure Vinik lives up to his word - so far so good. Had great seats in the corner 3rd row but also had a guy behind us with a flippin' horn and no talent - wife couldn't take it anymore so we'll probably move if she still wants to go....

My dads had season tickets at center ice since the Ice Palace opened. So I get to see games when I am home from college. I hope to see them play in Pittsburg, Buffalo or maybe Columbus if they head that way this year.

Well, I've officially reupped for another year with an option, so I'm hopeful it's going to be so much better...but then again, we can only go up!

I live near Orlando. It depends on where you are in relation to Orlando, I'm about a 1/2 hr north, so to get to Tampa, I've got to go through downtown every time.

It takes me 1:45 for a relatively light traffic day to get to the forum. Factor in the drive back, and it's common for me to be home at midnight. When you factor in the total amount of time dedicated to go see a hockey game, it's like 6 hours. A bit much to do on most weekdays.

Because of the hassle the distance creates, I only get the 10-flex pack. Mostly weekend games, and around holidays.

Would you be interested in season tickets to a minor league team, when Orlando gets one?

Yeah absolutely...I would love for a minor league team to come to Orlando I moved here right after the Seals left...

I know a lot of Norfolk people would disagree and shoot me, but I think it would be amazing if Tampa's AHL affiliate was in Orlando...I would pretty much be a diehard...Which I already am borderline I guess lol...

I'm going to have to look into a weekend 10 ticket plan...

So i've never been a season ticket (full, half, or partial) holder to any sporting team...The more I am looking over the 10 ticket weekend packages the more I am leaning towards buying some...

It just seems that I can swing some better deals with "ticket brokers" aka Scalpers for really decent seats at a better price...

I do like the notion of being able to pick out some awesome seats beforehand and have the security of knowing what I'm going to be getting..

So...Basically I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons...Cons I live in Orlando, work weeknights...Pros? Anyone?

Going down to Tampa and buying from scalpers is a bit risky IMO, not because of fakes or anything, but because if the tickets somehow end up out of your price range, you basically drove all the way to Tampa for nothing.

I can't imagine it's a common occurrence for that to happen, but the possibility of it happening even one time is enough for me to buy my tickets from the team.

Online ticket brokers, that's a bit different.

You were lucky you moved here *after* the Seals left. This message board recently has been littered with my ramblings about the team's last coach, Jim Paek.

I can tell you that there is serious interest to put an ECHL team in the new Orlando arena. The lease discussions have been going on for much longer than expected. I only found this out after I started seeing if I could spearhead getting such a team myself.

Get the weekend package and then you can do the scalper thing weeknights or whenever you get a night off. That way you're guaranteed at least seats on the weekends and playoff tickets if it happens. Scalpers may not be there or more expensive if the Bolts are really good this year...

I'm most likely getting season tickets, maybe half season I don't know.
