I also have this guy, who could be groomed into a backup?

92 TRV? Holy ****

I would keep him and play him a lot so his average increases faster.

For now I would keep both and alternate. One if better right now, where as the other will be better later.

Unless you need a LW more.

What do you have that could be a possible piece?
What are you looking for? I have a couple prospects here and there, and I also have some old wingers that have to move sooner or later. He's a bit expensive in regards to my budget though.

Just made my first trade ever.

I get: http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=50875

He gets: http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=419822

Guy I'm trading away already bloomed and will never be able to crack the squad at anything higher than 3LD. I get back a serviceable injury replacement or 3rd/4th liner on my team.

So far this season in terms of team records... the PIM records for both defense and offense look to be broken later on, Dohn will set the goal record soon, and is pacing to tie the points record. Brown is pacing to break the record for points by a d-man, assists by a d-man, and has an outside shot at getting the rating record for a d-man as well. Morgan has a shot at the win record he set last year, as well as the shutout and rating records.

As far as the team, they're pacing to beat their wins record, their points record, their GA record, and they've already set a record for the win streak.

Good year, eh?

I just tried to throw a game by playing my backup and some young guys and lost 4-3 in a SO. I tried throwing it because I'm in 4th as a division leader and the 5th place team has lost like 1 game in the last 20 so I'm hoping he take over 1st overall bumping the current 1st team to 5th so I can play them in the 1st round because I beat them in our 1st game. Irish you know the team, Cleveland grouse, they're pretty good and I'd rather not face them. Worked out good for me because I got a pt from the SO loss.

You wish your team had stats like mine. Averaging a whopping 2.15 goals a game and a low low 5.26 Goals against average.

Why didn't you just put a positional player at goalie than?

Hes 18-2-1 in the last 21 games and he beat me 7-1 last time I played him. I figured he would beat me pretty good either way even if I put my full squad out there but my backup stood on his head and kept me in it.

That's an idea, link the teams to the names in the first post.

Agreed linking the teams would be a lot easier.

I completely dominated (28 shots this time) but lost 4-1. My goalie is awesome, it just seems the goals (including one shorthanded) came late in the game, again.

I need better players with more even stats, but I'll work on that in the future.

Also, a live match viewer is coming and screens are up:

Looks cool!

I have been GMing my ass off attempting to get this team younger but I think I got 2 good quality young players so far I am just looking to get Shelton some help.
I think I am on my way in a couple years just have to add some peaces (which I am working on)

Players I'm building around
http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=702352
http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=703524
http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=783703
http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=702351

Also have a question. Can either of these goalies turn into anything good or should I keep looking.

The first guy blows, trade him asap. Devlin will be a solid goalie in a season or two. Nothing special but definitely decent, maybe a 77-78 EPA when fully bloomed which is pretty solid especially for a 4.x league. The other guy sucks. Reflexes are the most important stat for a goalie. Ideally you want a goalie with 85+ reflexes and I dont think I would have a started with anything under 80. You also want sick, glove, left leg and right leg to all be solid, helps to have decent recovery and handling too but those 5 are the most important. You can have a 90 left leg, right leg, and stick but if you have a 30 glove you gonna let up a lot of goals. Take a look at my goalie...http://trophyhockey.org/player.php?id=277008. There is nothing that sticks out about him but everything is solid, no weakness really and hes had a ton of success over the last 4-5 seasons.

Probably the MVP too, but we'll see... if Dohn can put up 50 points, he might have a shot at it.

Can someone explain to me what this all is? I've never heard of it before and it looks interesting, but also seems like I'm too far behind to start learning. Thanks.
