Rangers Prospect Poll #15 - tiebreaker

I really wanted to avoid a tie-breaker but it's too close to call. When does Jumbo get back?

any idea how long we should go? I'd guess the previous poll had around 90 total votes.

Voting between 2 scrubs is hard when you know the likes of Kundratek and Horak aren't on the list yet, and Kveton isn't even a vote selection.

no one has nominated Kveton. probably because he's probably staying in Europe and statistically took a step back last season.

I think the upside nod goes to Pashnin on this one.

I like both but I can't vote for Pashin based on a few good mini-camp practices and a good job in Russia for a year when Byers has somewhat shown he'll most likely at least be a good 4th line player and has the tools to be a good 3rd liner down the road

I think you can make some comparisons between Byers and Prust. Okay--we know Prust is tougher but junior careers--AHL career--they're both in the same ballpark and actually Byers numbers in the AHL are quite a bit better. It's at the age Byers is now that Prust made it. Personally if Byers doesn't make it this year (same with Sauer) I think he's moved to another organization before next season. One way or another I still see him becoming an NHL player.

You have to go with Pashnin after his performance in the prospect camp. This kid showed that he has a future on the NYR, while you never really know with Byers.

Pashnin. Much more upside, and now looks to be willing to come state side.

Pashnin.

n8 you can end the poll whenever. I'd make the winner 15 and the loser 16 and then move to 17.

It's 32 to 33. Give it a deadline. I say by Monday.

looks like Pashin won, I doubt we get enough votes to bring Byers back.

oops, I didn't see this till after I made the new one but I guess in the past we've done it like this where we only skip ahead if the 2nd place guy was out-voting the 3rd place guy by a lot which didn't happen so I guess I can live with this over-sight. I'll try to move these along at a swift pace. I too will be away for vacation in 2 weeks. Hopefully one of the other guys will be back to pick it back up.

It's fine. Thanks for stepping up to do these though while you're here.
