Replace the WOOOO with Fred Cusick's SCORE!!!

The thought of this gives me goosebumps....it would be so awesome! And it would mean something to us die-hard Bruins fans and old-tyme fans!

I like that but if you want an honest opinion. Watch WWE wrestling tonight and await the Miz to enter...AWESOME is what you will hear and that is what I would love to hear when we score.

Check it out tonight on RAW.

Don't act like you just came up with the idea man, give Days Of Y'Orr credit...damn.

And from what I understand, they are talking about right when the Bruins score, like a mix in right before the goal horn, not to replace the woo, at least talking to Justin himself that's what it sounded like.

Either way, if I hear anything relating to the Miz, or current WWE, I think I may just throw bricks all throughout the Garden and destroy whatever possible.

if they sampled the "SCORE!" right on top of the goal horn i think that would work.

piggy-backing off that, i have officially grown tired of the goal song. it just turns into zero cheering/chanting, and a lame rhythmic CLAP CLAP... CLAP... CLAP... CLAP... CLAP

Like here is what I was thinking what they meant when I talked to him (and what I basically sent to my friend in the B's marketing dept. to help the idea go)

For example...Krejci snaps a wrister home.."SCORREEEE!!!" *Hoorrrrnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn* *Horrrnnnn* *Goal Song*....Goal announcement..Woooooo!

*Edit* Didn't actually type out sound effects in email to the marketing department..haha

*Doubt Edit to your piggy back* I too am sick of the goal song, I wish they would change it to something more unique to the team...I'm looking at you Nutty.

Awesome idea. The Ric Flair woo thing is a bit...shall we say, "flambouyant".

Cusick's "Scorrrrrrrrre" would be perfect.

From the blog mentioned above:

So we ask you for you help fellow Bruins fans. If you're a season ticket holder, call your rep. If you're not, call the Bruins offices. Call the Bruins Fan Relations Department at 617-624-2327. Email them at fanrelations@bostonbruins. Make signs at games when the season starts. Tell your friends. Tell people you don't like. Tell your dog. Spread the word. Tell 'em Days of Y'Orr sent you. Tell them that "We Want Cusick". Together, we can make this happen.

Wow, what a GREAT idea.

On Sunday I was flipping through the channels and I came across a Classic game, '90 Habs series, I believe, and the minute I heard Cusick shout, "Score!" I was hooked. I hate the 'woo!' and the lame techno music that follows. Score! with something Boston-centric music would be tremendous.

How 'bout his goal call, then both the old train horn and the new horn together, followed by Nutty?

Sounds cool until "Nutty". I like the tune, it brings back TV38 memories, but I don't think it makes a good goal song. I'd rather have Nutty play after victories instead of "Dirty Water". I won't even get into that....

It'd be great throwing Cusick into the beginning of every goal. Having the "score" lead off before the goal horn would be a nice touch. Replacing the woo with the score, however, I would not be for. It would seem really out of place and just too delayed. That said, bring on the former.

I like the idea. Also like the idea of putting it before the goal horn. And we can just dump the WOO.

I'd rather have the opener to "Shipping up to Boston" than Zombie Nation.

Ditto. I like the one we have now too, but way too generic compared to the old one.

i agree about it not being a good goal song, but how about before every game instead, like as they take to the ice? kinda like how they used to use Paree. but, for the exact reason they got rid of Paree, they almost certainly won't do it.

LOVE the cusik idea though. hope it comes to fruition.

Exactly why I started the new goal song thread. Sick of the same techno song that a dozen other teams use, while the Flyers, Habs and Blackhawks have their own chants after the goal. Time for Boston to refresh with something new.

I respect the whole tribute to Fred. But really, "Score" after they announce the goal. Really? Just go ahead and pretend your the announcer. It just doesn't work. I love the WOOOOOO.

my whole family gets right into the action and we all chant the wooooo at the same time. It was such a thrill once we attended our first bruins game and were able to make that cheer.

Its a new era in Bruinsland, i think we should stick to the woooo. As corny as some of you may think, its a hit and the fans love it, especially the young ones. Hockey is growing in Boston and this Woooo should be here to stay.

GO BOSTON GO!
