He's a good skater with good vision. He doesn't have great size, but is a smart player with some decent offensive upside. He has good hockey sense too. Many think he might have been the best Phantoms player out there last year. Down the road, at his peak he could be an average 2nd pairing puck mover, more than likely a serviceable 3rd pairing/7th.
Small-ish, quick, speedy, with great footwork, and great skating, with his best quality being his hockey IQ. He's a very bright defenseman who sees the ice very well. He's calm, patient, and deliberate with his actions on the ice.
He's not as talented as Timonen, but he could emerge into a poor-man's version of him if he can, like Kimmo, learn to withstand the test of full-grown NHL athletes.
He might never be strong enough. It takes a rare defenseman to pull off that skill-set at the NHL, but his brains give him a legitimate shot.
