OMG what is this? Who ever decided to go with beige pants needs to be fired. Black gloves and pants would have made this somewhat more acceptable I guess, but the big yellow stripe on the jersery coupled with the 4 tiny yellow stripes on the arms makes this thing look silly.

Not quite as bad as my Habs old barber shop, but hey at least we can say that it was designed in the 1910s. Yours has been designed over the last weeks!

I like the homage to old style uniforms with many stripes in them, I believe it has something to do with hockey clubs sharing with rugby clubs back in the day. I think the Burgundy on this jersey should be much darker almost black in coulour. The C should be replaced with the actual Tigers symbol. Light coloured pants were common in the 20's.

Did anyone think to point out to the brass that tigers actually have stripes, making the design somewhat understandable, even if really ugly? Why didn't they just use the 80s jersey? That is at least Calgary Flames heritage.

Tigers have verticle stripes, not horizontal.

True, but vertical stripes would have looked even worse.

Either way, I pretty sure the fact that tigers are striped is the reason the old Calgary Tigers jerseys were striped. I could be wrong(wouldn't be the first time) but that does seem pretty reasonable to me.

Well, if Calgary players will go down on their four like animals during the game then the body stripe will get vertical alright. But why did their first team was Tigers? As far as I know there are no tigers in Alberta. Shouldn't it have some sort of an association? Cows would probably be a better choice. Then they'll need to change the stripes for red an yellow patches.

I dont think region association was a big factor in naming sports clubs back in the 1920's. Although Montreal did well in associating with there city burning hockey fans with the name Montreal Maroons.

Or, maybe learn to read, and you'd know that the Flames design comes from the 1920's.

I like the jersey, colors, and the pants. I would never be caught dead in them, but I really think they will look cool on the ice. I wish Montreal would have come up with something different.

I do like the Heritage Classic logo. Any chance of seeing that design on a jersey?

Overall I like it. The tan does strike me as a bit odd though.

Sutter knows he's going to be looking for a McJob himself, soon.

After seeing these jerseys, I dunno whether my mouth or my eyes want to vomit first.

I just hope that my Penguins new Winter Classic jersey doesn't end up being such an abomination. Sadly though (especially if we go down the baby blue route again), I'm not holding my breath.

as stated before the jersey is based off of the Calgary Tigers jersey.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Fans of teams with good jerseys would understand this.

No way. It's the Flames playing, after all, not the Tigers, and they are NOT the same franchise.

On their legs (arms) the stripes are horizontal.
