What a class act. Making more money there than he would in the NHL ... this is a good ending for Metro.

Metro will be missed more than people think. He was awesome last year for us....he played a big part in the bottom 6 forwards and he was great on the powerplay for us too.

I hope he does well in Switzerland!!

I'll always miss Moses.

Is it weird to keep replaying the time he waved at me, with the tune "I will remember you" playing in my head?

He's like the Begin type of player...

We don't need him but i would keep him just because of his passion

What a heartwarming story. I hope he comes back as an assistant coach one day.

That was actually my biggest concern. We're going to miss his right handed shot on the PP.

Metro is definitely a class act. I wish him the best of luck.

Thanks though, it never would've been brought to my attention had it not been posted in a new thread. I actually prefer information/stories be posted in their own threads.

Absolutely, taxes are low on a European basis (Switzerland is not part of the European Union), and where Metropolit will be, namely Zoug, is the Canton (Swiss state) were you pay the lowest taxes in Switzerland. Local taxes are important and the rate is up to the Canton.
Many firms or sportspeople (ex:Federer) are based in Zoug.

With 1 000 000 of salary a player gets in Québec, how many he can touch after taxes?

« Metropolit has no regrets » would make a terrific name for a metal band.

But he does throw a jab at Gauthier, when he talks about Gms that don't have the pulse of the locker room.

He is classy, its kinda crazy to think that for the management its such a simple thing to not resign a player but it does change the life of the player...
He was a good soldier.

While "Metropolit has regrets" would be definitely an ironic, emo rock band of the Smiths vein.
