Toronto would trade you Kaberle, but you'd have to add Klutterbuck because he's a "Burke type player." Maybe Cuma too, since Kaberle's an elite defenseman, that for some reason or another, you guys need wether you do or not, right?
It's really hard to tell if Toronto fans are all idiots, or if they are trying to make fun of themselves.

How about Toronto keeps Kaberele and the Wild keep Burns?

Done, but seriously, why would you start a thread asking for one of the Wild's best players, while pegging all of your team's bests players as off limits?

Guess I read it wrong. I went on TSN and they have him as a RW who shoots right.

And thats where we differ. I see Lupul as a consistent 50 pointer who can score 25 goals a season. I see that as a huge upgrade over Miettinen, who has terrible finishing touch.

Kaberle

for

Burns
Clutterbuck
Cuma

?

Why would the Wild give up Burns, Clutterbuck, and Cuma for one season of Kaberle? That has got to be one of the worst trade proposals I've heard yet.

Lupul is a right wing FYI. He moved to the left last season only as our top two right wingers are Perry and Selanne. And not better than Miettinen? Come on now. Mietinen has never hit 45 points, and has hit 20 goals once. Lupul has hit both 3 times.

It proves a theory of mine(to an extent) that if an organization has some great assets, it makes the lesser ones appear to be worth a lot less than they actually are. On this guy's list, notice how he absolutely would never take Lupul(+ a top prospect and a pick) for Burns, yet he'd take Rene Bourque, despite the fact that at best Bourque will match Lupul's production, and Lupul's more proven. I think this also happened with the Ducks in actual trade negotiations with Florida(?) where the GM asked for Corey Perry for a rental, or something like that. I imagine if Perry and Ryan weren't on the team, all of a sudden Lupul would be a lot more acceptable(as I doubt they'd ask for Getzlaf, although, he'd only be their second line center so they probably think of it as fair value ).

I do understand that maybe Wild fans don't want to trade him, makes sense, but I find it quite odd that for some teams(and it seemingly has nothing to do with geography) they'd demand the world, and for some they'd be content with just fair value. I also think the Wild would be smart to try and cash in on Burns now(or throughout the year) rather than lose him for nothing. Many Wild fans asked why they would trade a young 25 year old defenseman if they're rebuilding, but funnily enough, that's probably what Panthers fans said in the summer of 2007 as well, and we all know how that worked out.

Burns has two years on his contract, we're not losing him for nothing.

It's like a broken record, seriously.

How about Brunette + Sheppard + 2nd or 3rd for MPS?

As a Ducks fan, if Ryan is going to be traded, I think Brent Burns for return would make me quite happy.
