Atlanta or Pittsburgh make the most sense to me. LA seems like a good fit as well.

If he wasn't looking for a huge salary, I wouldn't mind Burke signing him to a 1-2 year deal.

Atlanta would seem quite realistic and personally would like to see a two year deal (since it may be impossible to get one) at around 2.5 million a year. May be a bit of a gamble, but he could very well add a important 20-25 goals and what can I say he impressed me in the regular season and then in the World Cup.

Wonder how many offers, if any he has. Not real popular off the ice if you know what I mean.

I can see LA, Leafs, Wild and Atlanta in the running. Hopefully he signs in Toronto

It's worthwhile discussion regardless. But that is not a legitimate site.

I wouldn't be upset if he signed with ATL. Even after Kovy was gone he still showed some heart and decent chemistry with Antro, etc. A full 82 game season did him some good.

Perhaps 2 years @ 1.9M each?

Regier or Darcy got mad at him for sneezing in their general direction or something and blacklisted him or something.

At the whole showing up at the community skate he was a class act, and you didn't hear any grumblings from him in Atlanta, while he could have gone full Slava Kozlov/Ilya Kovalchuk and complained about the team sucking. One story that got overblown in my opinion.

The site isn't necessarily Pittsburgh mini-Eklund but he's not legit either. Somewhere in between. He'll get some stuff right and some stuff he's totally off on. Having said that if he says the Pens are out he's mostly correct there.

This makes me laugh. "I was way too busy to look at the two other names on each line but I'm gonna blame you for not organizing the lines in a way that makes it convenient for me"

On topic, I've always liked Afinogenov for some reason. I wouldn't have minded him in Tampa before the Gagne deal. Hopefully he goes somewhere where he can play with some good linemates since it's probably his last deal in the NHL.

He must have snuck onto the Italian team. That's probably why we lost so early.

don't get it , Atlanta has tons of cap space, plenty to sign RFAs Little, Bergfors and still bring Afinigenov back......he revived his career in Atlanta

Because I don't think Dudley has him in Atlanta's future plans. He obviously wants to the young guys to come up as soon as they can. So a 3 year offer to Max would take a spot and ice time away from up and coming young players. An ideal situation would be a 1 year contract, maybe a 2 year deal could still work well though.

Maybe Tallon agrees on one year inorder to swap for a draft pic. Afinogenov than uses it as leverage for contract extension leverage

Max isn't going to be signed by Atlanta because Burmistrov will be the #2 center and Peverley will be shifted to RW or #3 center with Byfuglien as the #2 RW.
