Fight Club - Baumgartner (NYI) vs. McSorley (LAK)
Thought you guys may be interested, as we are posting a classic fight between the Kings and Islanders. This is something we've been working on all summer. With over 2,000 classic fights in our vault, LAKings.com will be posting a new fight each day this summer. We are posting classic Kings fights, but fans from every team can enjoy the show. Many of these fights haven’t been seen since they happened. Utilizing jumbotron feeds, game broadcasts and even home video, we are compiling classic fights for fans to enjoy.

Baumgartner was an LA King right before I started following...he was a tough cookie. That left was deadly.

A tad before my time as well as far as his King days are concerned, but seeing the footage has me going with a Baumgartner jersey when I finalyl decide to get a purple/gold sweater. Great fighter who always seemed to have McSorley's number.

I remember going to a card shop in the 80's so I could get autographs from Kenny Baumgartner, Tom Laidlaw and Mike Krushelnyski. Good times. Maybe in 88? 89? Something like that.
