Guillaume Latendresse

How do you guys like him? He was one of my favorite non-thrashers to watch, but I couldn't catch many of his games when he went to the Western Conference. I'm a fan of him though, I think he's still got some potential too.

Where do you think he will finish pointwise this upcoming season?

I'm not sure what his production next season will be, depends heavily on if his chemistry with Havlat stays as great as it was this last season.

As for how we like him, pretty sure he instantly became a fan favorite. One of the few guys on the team who was bringing in points consistently.

i thought the Latendresse Brodziak Havlat line was decent last season; offensively (on paper) he'll probably exceed last season's point totals with Cullen slated to take over the 2nd line centre duties, at least that's the hope.

Lats is streaky (like a hat trick one game then another he'll totally frustrate you with invisibility).

i'm not a huge 'we won that trade' kind of guy but i think over time he'll work out better in Minnesota than Pouliot will in Montreal.

Lats is incredibly odd.

In 5v5, he was completely and totally dominate offensively at points. It seemed like he scored 50% of the Wild's goals in the second half. I mean, in even strength, he was scoring at the same pace as Ovechkin!

But, on the PP, he was terrible. Never did anything. Wasn't trying.

I'm just hoping we get something in the middle. Hoping for 30 goals with a healthy Havlat.

I'd expect something along the lines of what Latendresse accomplished last year. Maybe not as many goals but improving on other aspects of his game.

Guillaume is definetly improving.

like I posted in the other thread, here's a pretty good video summarizing his season with the Wild.

I love Gui, and expect an even better season out of him this season with the Wild. He seems to enjoy playing with the Wild, which has made him an instant fan fav.

With Cullen at his center, and a healthy and productive Havlat this season, I see no reason why he shouldn't have a career season this year.

That is if he can stay healthy himself.

Crossing fingers for this all to work out. If it does it will bode well for the Wild's success this season. If not, I think the Wild will go as he does.

Really liked him! He's one of the few on our team that shoots the puck.. and for us it was an upgrade to Poiliot.. You could just see Pouliot had talent.. just didn't work here. good change for both players.

If Cullen establishes the same type of chemistry with Gui that he currently has with Havlat he could become an elite scorer in the 35-40 range. If not I would say he and Havlat together for a full season would put him in the 30 goal range pretty consistantly each year regardless who their center is.
