Well it's seems that Yzerman wasn't done with his shopping in Quebec.

Pascal Vincent is overrated. I don't know why the love for this guy. There are better coaches in the Q than Vincent, but he gets the limelight because he talks a lot and coaches in Montreal. Bury this guy in small-town junior hockey, and he doesn't get the attention.

I prefer Ben Groulx 10 times before this guy.

well he was in Cape-breton wich i would say is a small town in junior hockey and he was getting attention back then.

i agree with you he's little bit overated as he had good team in the past but never won with it. (same with tourigny). Right now i would say he's a good head coach not great like he's been hyped in the quebec media. I would like to see him win at the junior level before making the jump at the pro level. but good for him if he get a shot in the AHL with the lightnings farm team.

if he leave, i wonder who could be his replacement on the juniors ? training camp is less than 1 month away in the qmjhl

Can we suppose Boucher have some good words about Vincent to Yzerman?

More like "hire this guy cause he's nothing special and will not challenge for my job".

Vincent is soooooo overrated. In the Q, he has one of the worst record in the playoffs.

Playoffs stats for coaches with 5 seasons or more in the Q:

Benoit Groulx, GAT: 0.653 WIN% (98 GP)
Clément Jodoin, RIML 0.552 WIN% (96 GP)
Mario Durocher, CAP: 0.551 WIN% (69 GP)
Patrick Roy, QUE: 0.500 WIN% (60 GP)
Eric Veilleux, SHA: 0.500 WIN% (46 GP)
Richard Martel, CHI: 0.474 WIN% (135 GP)
André Tourigny, ROU: 0.463 WIN% (80 GP)
Yanick Jean, VIC: 0.436 WIN% (39 GP)
Pascal Vincent, MTL: 0.434 WIN% (99 GP)
Eric Lavigne, PEI: 0.413 WIN% (63 GP)

I don't see why Yzerman wouldn't hire the best coach available in his opinion. That is very high credibility for Vincent, even if he doesn't get hired.

i thought it would be Tourigny, but I'm cool with the randy's. The rochester games will be fun, since they are already one of the Dogs biggest rivals, now with Weber coaching rochester and cunneyworth/Bonneau facing their old team should be interesting.

Or maybe there just isn't many options left...? It is August already.

Vincent has never done anything special... I just don't understand the hype... Tourigny, Jodoin and Groulx are better candidates.

Most training camps start next week. He'll have to make his decision fast.

i make no apologies for the fact that i dislike, gauthier, martin and especially boivin. i give martin cred for that playoff run last year. but one thing is certain, if yzerman and this hand picked staff of pilfered ex-habs and franco coaches win a cup before the habs do. then boivin and his stupid decision to not wait till last summer to do a proper GM search is the first drop in barrel of firings. lol. i'd like to believe that molson is paying attention to all of this. maybe, maybe not. president hairspray and gainey locked martin into a very long term deal with a huge penalty payout if he's fired...and gauthier also a long term deal. montreal's a ****ing country club

Don't worry, Boivin's gone in a year anyways.

I thought that if the Habs organization didn't give an opportunity to QMJHL coaches nobody else would...

What's positive is that if Vincent is named head coach of the Norfolk Admirals, Leblanc's chance of winning something at junior level goes up.
