SPOILERS (if you watch this week-end's races races later):
I know it isn't a favorite topic here, but I wanted to give props to our Q drivers this week-end. I was at my girlfriend family's chalet, so I couldn't watch the races, but after reading the reports, they seem to have done well! Actually, just to see 5 different Q drivers in Pro series is fun to see!
Nascar Sprint: Carpentier 21st (bad, but he was unlucky);
Nascar Nationwide: Villeneuve 8th (unlucky with a pit stop strategy when he was leading);
Nascar Pro Series K&N East: 23rd (bad, but he has a fantastic season in the different series)
IRL: Tagliani 4th (his best result of the season so far, got the bonus point for leading the most laps);
DTM: Spengler 1st!
I am a big fan of racing sports, what about you Habs' fans? I can't wait for the Montreal Nationwide race!

I listened the Villeneuve race and a bit of Carpentier race.
Villeneuve was fun to watch.
After a restart where he pitstop he passed something like 10 cars in 3 laps.
It's funny how, despite all the "trash talk" (I can't find the exact English expression here...) he suffered, Villeneuve is still the most popular Quebec's driver. And I always find myself cheering for him when he's in a big race, hoping he's gonna shut up his detractors.
I'm sure he's gonna win a big race some day, when he's like 48, just to show the world that he still has it in him.
Hopefully Villeneuve goes back to F1, only racing I follow.
Unfortunately for him if it happens it will be with a brand new team and looking at what's happening with Lotus, Virgin and HRT (the 3 new teams), he'd be lucky to even get one point.

There is no place in Nascar for foreign drivers no matter how good they are. Villeneuve, Carpentier and Montoya are a lot better than the rest of the field, but they'll never have a good car to work with because they don't bring advertising money with them.
Btw it seems that all racing series suck nowadays.

I never understood the hate for Villeneuve. Bottom line is that he won a F1 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, and outduelled Michael freaking Schumacher to do it!! Any way you cut it this is a great accomplishment.
He made a bad decision after when he was seduced by an upstart team which was a total gong show and uncompetitive, but that does not change the fact that he is a great, champion driver.
Would be super to see him with a NASCAR championship.
I really only follow F1 and World Superbike and Moto GP and some AMA not so much the AMA since Miguel isn't running for american Honda anymore and Pascal Picotte is up in the Canadian Superbike series.

It's his ex-Manager Craig Pollock who told him to join him with BAR and they offered more money than Williams.
