Rate Flames #6 Prospect

*Vote for the best prospect based on potential and talent. NOT for who is the most NHL ready.
*It is an elimination process. Once a player has been selected as the best, then their name comes off the list

TOP PROSPECTS LIST:
1) C/W Mikael Backlund
2) D Tim Erixon
3) C Mitch Wahl
4) RW Greg Nemisz
5) D John Negrin

I picked Howse but I am beginning to second think it. Howse has too many holes in his game for me to rate him so high. Thinking back I should have gone with Brodie.

Irving... before his sophomore AHL slump he was rated up there with the likes of Nemisz... his potential is greater than he is getting credit for

I can kinda agree with you. I do think he is getting greatly underrated.

I think you'll have to keep choosing him until at least #8.

while 1 dimensional players like Brodie and Howse get votes ahead of him... people vote on offense nothing else... sure that should be a factor but so should the likelihood of them making the NHL... I think Irving will at the very least be an NHL backup... but both Howse and Brodie are guys where if their offense doesn't translate to the NHL they won't get a chance

I actually think the goaltending prospects should be a different category. Apples & oranges, IMO.

Well considering we have 3 prospects (one of which is 24) the decision is easy: Iving then Ortio.

I am surprised that Irving is falling like a dead weight because of one bad season...
