Nash usually doesn't get a free pass, some of us are hard on him, but you have a good point, we're too tough on Juice and sometimes Nash isn't criticised often enough.
Nash has that "face of the franchise" thing going so his mistakes and laziness can be overlooked at times.

My only complaint about Huselius is when he passes the puck to the corner when he is in the slot where a shot on net is available. Every time I complain about him, he scores a goal or has a nice assist. He may disappear at times, but he usually makes up for it on the scoresheet.

Yeah..Um..Nash doesn't get a free pass from the CBJ fans on this site. He gets a pass from some of the other fans in the league, but he gets quite a bit of **** thrown his direction on here as does Juice. Nash is inconsistent just like Huselius and we all know it.

I've been hard on Juice over the years but I have supported the need for his type of talent... My problem with Juice is probably not fair, whenever I see a European skating around in circles I think of Robert Kron-Juice skates in circles often.

As for Nash, he skates in circles also but he's our golden boy, he gets a pass because he's our only super star-so far.

Nash gets a pass because he scores Captain Morgan shootout goals and undresses the Coyote defense.

Looking at this thread you'd thought huselius killed someones dog. Yet he is only 4 points back of Nash and also second on the team in PPG (0.85 vs 0.88) last season.

the big difference is Nash salary cap hit which is 7.8 compared to Juice 4.7

if Nash is such an amazing player with crosby like salary, shouldn't he score more than paltry 67 points?
For my part, I don't hate the guy; he's just good at driving me crazy. Ping! Ping! Ping!

Like:

Umberger
Russel
Vermette
Brassard
Boll

Hate:

Commodore (albatross contract, joke of a professional athlete)

Like not so much:

Nash (think he's a fantastic player, but hate his disappearing acts+salary)
Tyutin (makes too much, should be tougher than he is for his size)
Filatov (golden boy who is being spoiled by too many people, chicken ran away last year)
Methot- just think he stinks

Most players I don't like seem to be more talented and I don't like their personalities either on or off the ice. (besides methot, i just think he stinks)

Nash - one of the finest power forwards in NHL
Mason - he had a bad season but i think he will be franchine goaltender
Filatov - young russian sniper, hoping that he stays in NHL...
Ryan Johansen - I like Winterhawks, Johansen will be good center for Nash?

yak!

Påhlsson and Strålman - no respect for swedes

So.... can this be like a "weakest link" deal.... whoever has the most "dislikes" gets traded????

Top 5 (in no particular order):

Voracek
Russell
Umberger
Dorsett
Vermette
Nash
.....etc

Bottom 5 (in no particular order):

Boll
Boll
Boll
Boll
Boll

That counts as 5 votes to be "the weakest link"... right?

***Disclaimer*** It's not that I don't necessarily "like" Boller.... just he is redundant on this roster... and I'm tired of seeing him get worked in those "boxing" matches....

No one said "Fave and least-fave CURRENT players."

Fave:
1. Tyler Wright
2. Rick Nash
3. Jakub Voracek
4. R.J. Umberger
5. Jody Shelley

----

Those other guys:
1. That one guy with the hideous broken nose and over-sensitivity to fans booing. Total doucher.
2. Krzysztof Oliwa - I never got over that game where he was a Ranger and was part of that huge line-brawl at the very end of the game. I think he punched Grant Marshall or Tyler Wright in the back of the head off the face-off and started it. I might be confusing him with someone else.
3. Jan Hrdina - I wonder if someone has taught him not to use the stick for everything yet?
4. Christian Backman - Totally unimpressed with him his entire time here.
5. Marc Methot - He sucks.

If his teammates would stop missing empty net goals(HELLO HUSELIUS) he'd had a lot more than the 67

yet he has never scored more than 79 points in a season with or without huselius.

huselius is really underrated around these parts

Underrated as what? A streaky, kind of soft, borderline top line player who tries on most nights but for the most part really lacks that "other level" that some players can access?

Red Wing fan coming in peace.

I gotta say I don't always love the way Dorsett plays against the wings but he is a guy I would love to have on the wings. Nash I like as a Canadian and the Olympics.

I'm surprised a lot of you guys don't like Boll, I think he is one of the better fighters in the league. He may not win all his fights but he is still young and those wins will come with experience. But he is a much better skater then your average enforcer and throws some decent hits from what I've seen.

Do you guys know if he would be on the trading block because Holland said he would possibly trade for a fighter if one couldn't be found in free agency. We've got Meech, Miller and Ritola on the trade block as well.

Our former C who demanded a trade to a specific team (killing our leverage) and has one of their Charter planes waiting for him in Calgary before the deal is even finalized!!!! The only BJ I have ever hated.
Zherdev

Yes, all fine and dandy, Boll is a better skater than most 'enforcer' types.... problem is Boll has become a 'fragile' enforcer type it seems the last 2 years.... he loses fights, gets injured, and when he is healthy, he's more than often just a body on the ice... can you honestly think of any enforcer that is 'afraid' of Boll???

I've met the guy, he seems like a nice enough guy off the ice, but....... when you're supposed to be the enforcer and you get laughed at??? Idk, his skill set just seems redundant on the CBJ and I for one wouldn't be sad to see him traded for any one of those 3 (and I say that knowing very little about any of the 3 of them).

I think Stinger would even stand a chance toe to toe with him.............

I think some folks are way too hard on Boll's fighting skills (and some folks go to easy on his overall skill). Few in the league takes a beating like him and I think he has one of the best chins in the NHL.

Faves
Vermette
Filatov
Tyutin (Who slid a bit on my list over the course of the season)
Garon (Exactly what a backup goalie should be)
Strålman

Less so
Pahlsson and the majority of our 3rd and 4th line guys.

When your starved for secondary scoring an agitator really doesn't impress you after a while. He shows flashes of having something more, but it comes and goes. If he can refine his game, pick his spots to fight more intelligently, and add something more he could be a really valuable member of the team.
