The reason I made this is so we could have a poll everyday or 2 and just to see how the popular opinion would create the lines. Obviously none of us can predict the lines and everyone has opposing opinions, this is just a majority thing.

Here's my plan, let me know your thoughts throughout the day because I'm making the next poll tomorrow or late tonight (Richards won, lets be serious).

1. Do all 4 centers -
This way we eliminate one center who will be playing wing.
2. LW for XXX, RW for XXX (for example LW for Richards, RW for Richards) - This way we can work with chemistry. If we think Zherdev will work good with Richards, put him on his wing.
3. Defensive pairings - Not sure how to do this one yet.
4. Goaltenders - plain and simple, starter then backup.
We should really have a poll to determine if we want to use a poll to determine how the poll should be conducted. That is just my opinion; however, we may need to take a poll to determine the majority vote on that as well.

Carter is the better offensive player at even strength. Richards is better on the PP.

I voted for Richie but didn't expect so many others to do so. I think you should add Shelly to any and all polls from here on in.

I agree that the PP matters, but if you swapped who they were playing against at even strength... I believe you'd see Richards jump up a bit offensively.

Richards QUALCOMP last year was .109, Carter's was .028. That's insane. The year before it was closer at .048, to 0.041.

The reality is that Richards' role does limit his even strength production a bit.

Haha, I thought about it. I decided adding Shelley is only going to take away votes from real players for the sake of humor.

I refuse to add Shelley until the 4th line voting

Except Homer already has him penciled in on the 3rd line.

I actually do not mind that lineup too much, except for two factors: 1) Do not like the idea of Richards playing with two finesse players, his game goes down the tubes when he tries to be too dipsy-doo low percentage passes across the ice. 2) JvR and Carter playing together is useless and would put JvR in a position where he is playing with a guy who likes the perimeter too much, also JvR learning the Carter way to play physical hockey would set JvR back a full year in development.

you guys know that Zherdev is a right wing, right?
This may work

Hartnell-Carter-Zherdev
JVR-Richards-Giroux
Carcillo-Briere-Leino
Powe-Betts-Lapperiere
Shelley

I went with Richards, easily could have been Carter though. Depends on what type of line Lavy wants to throw out there. I like Richards as the top line Center though IMO.

This is a formality vote based on how you're going to have us vote on everyone until lines are made. Like mentioned earlier, who is around Richards is the question.

I voted for Richards but it could have easily been Carter. Last season the Carter line became the #1 line as the season went on but a lot of that was due to Carcillo being on Richards' line. However, Carter had to put up with Hartnell so...

I doubt he'll be around because I'm about to do 2nd line center and he'll probably win that.
