Is everyone really ok with Stoll going into the season as our 2nd line C?

Assuming Boston agreed, but they wouldn't, who plays center? Do you go with

Smyth-Kopitar-Williams
Lucic-Handzus-Brown
Poni-Richardson-Simmonds

So because Brown signed a stupid contract nobody is worth more? Fact is Lucic is a better player than Brown was at his age.

Exactly. So why would you try to tell people the Clifford is our Lucic? Not even comparable.

Yep. Been watching him since he started in the WHL where he destroyed guys and continued to do it in the NHL. Ask Komisarik (sp?) how tough he is..

The Mitchell rumor has a chance of being true. Lombardi is still waiting for Kovalchuk before he makes a trade.

LOL, I understand why you think he is a top player, but not in the NHL, not yet.

Unfortunately, that seems to be the case. Waste of time.

No I don't think he is a top player, but worth the $4mill he's getting now. I think he's worth more to a team than Stoll, Williams, Poni or even Fro for that matter. I don't wanna give up Simmonds to get him, but someone was saying they don't want him regardless of what we give up because we'd have to pay him $4 mill.

4 million is a bit much, but yes, I would rather him than Williams, or Poni, not Frolov or Stoll at this point

Why would the Kings trade Simmonds for Kaberle....stupid...

The reason Simmonds name is mentioned so much, is because he is one of the most sought after Kings players....Brown, Kopitar and Doughty are almost untouchable, the next best young player is Simmonds....a forward who can score, hit, fight, backcheck....Of course every other GM asks about him...how many young power forwards have all those tools and had the regular season and post season he had? Chris Stewart? That's it. Every GM wants one of those guys.

Little Freudian dyslexia? LOL. Atleast you wrote 'after' and not 'brutha'

LA's focus isn't on Kovy or Kaberle, it's on Willie Mitchell. He's impressed all with testing and plans to make playing decision soon.

Scuderi-Doughty
Mitchell-Johnson

Drewiske hopefully can hold the fort on the bottom pairing and see about 15-18 mins of ice time until Greene is ready to resume play. A polished prospect will step up in camp and surprise us. I think Hickey is going to really shine in camp and preseason play. Every year I've seen him, he keeps getting bigger and stronger, and most importantly, playing better.

Dude Mitchell would be awesome. We have not had a D man like Mitchell in years...A shutdown D man who has a mean streak, can chip in 15-20 points, clear the front of the net and really not be pleasent to play against. He is a guy players hate to play against and the Kings do not have that guy in our top 4....

Not since Mattias Norstrom, except maybe a bit more tougher. One thing I miss about Matti, the guy was a warrior, played through injuries, never complained. Too bad they don't have him around now. I think he has a great hockey mind that can be utilized.

"Do those 3 others teams have a Drew Doughty?"

That should do it.
