I doubt that this is true. Did he not just join the Red Wings front office in some capacity?

The most vulnerable aspect of his game will be his skating speed, given his advanced age.

In my opinion, that would be the worst weakness to have in one's game if you're going to be playing on larger European ice surfaces against players who are almost always gifted skaters, as Chelios would be in the KHL.

i don't think this would happen, and i don't know how well Chelios still skates.. But I always remember him being one of the best skaters on detroit. the really good skaters just seem to keep the skating ability... Selanne, Jagr, Kovalev, Fedorov... all still really good. Chelios is a freaking fossil tho even compared to these guys mostly
