Yes, KupsforKovy (used to be Clarkson Toe Drag or something, haha) is doing one he might need people.

@ DD and everyone else....

My team out of Aspen Ice in Randolph is looking for players for the fall/winter season. It is a D league but plays more like a high C. 16 games plus playoffs, shoot out tie breakers. Most games on Sunday starting between 4 and 9 and an occasional Tuesday game. There is a team fee that determines the price each player pays for the season. Pretty much the more guys we get the better. It is looking to be about 400 for a player if we get 15 guys. Our team just shed our dead weight from last season and is looking to add new and skilled players. Let me know if you guys are interested at all.. We need to submit a down payment by first week of September. We aren't looking for Studs exaclty (though would be sweet) but more of guys that can skate and know what they are doing... no offense, but no beginners please.

PM me for questions or whatever.. THANKS!

edit: thanks for the plug CB lol

Assuming I don't have enough money to play for NJIT club (it's around $1000) i'd be down for the team.

That's a solid price, I love my half. It fogs when I'm on the bench but meh, it's worth it not dealing with the cage.

When i played for ccm we played NJIT the first two seasons they started it back up ( like 4 years ago).. They had some good kids but more terrible lol. The second year they were a lot better cause i guess the word got out that they had a team. The league they play in is really good.. a few school that recruit + NY county and state colleges = wow hockey

Yeah the GNCH is a really solid league. We had a rough year last year first time going into D2 and losing our best player to Rutgers. I don't think I can swing the cost this year though.

i wish i lived in jersey so i could play with you ****s

my leagues kind of suck

we have 2 rinks near me, the one just opened

the one that just opened only has 1 sheet of ice and the mens league is only C is draft style and is 25 or older so i cant play even if i wanted to

the other rink has an A B and C league. up until the spring we only had B and C then they added A and only moved 3 teams to A from B and made sure all the A players were on an A team

my team moved up to A but we only have like 4 legit A players except in teh summer we get alot of guys back from college and juniors. its fun but its not draft style, which i like because we can make our own teams, but one team always wins because they have this czech guy whos insane.

its just not enough hockey for me to only play 1 game a week. i usually play more than one because i sub alot of teams and play in a private rental sometimes with a good group of guys that always show up plus i coach 2 teams in teh fall so im on teh ice alot but still i think im going to play A and B in teh fall just to get on the ice more

also ive been skating on a 7/16 hollow which i really really like. it could just be because the ice is soft because its been hot out but ive tried 5/8 9/16 1/2(which ive used teh most) and now 7/16 which i really like

im kind of apprehensive of going to 3/8 but i might try it next time i sharpen my skates

Oakley makes a few different models of half shields, some of which come lower than others.

Yeah there's a lot of options so I'm definitely gonna buy one from a store. I'll ask the guys to show me a few different ones and compare, etc.

I would give us a call tomorrow to check if we have what you're looking for...we got pretty wiped out from our sale last week and I might not have many (or any) Oakley half shields left.

Alternatively, purehockey.com is having a 20% off sale if you know what you're looking for.

I'm just looking for a visor that comes down to about my nose. I'm not exactly looking for a Dany Heatley or Colin White look
