How much money to we have to spend as of today? Since Kabs is back that subtracts to what most of thought would be available.

According to capgeek we have $1.33M to work with (this doesnt includ finger's contract if buried in the minors) If we bury finger in the minors we have about $4.8 to work with. Assuming we dont bury finger, we need to use that money to spend on a 4th line centre, either we use it to resign Hanson or Primeau. If we bury Finger, we'll have enough to sign a 4th line centre, and bring in a cheap free agent (Torres, O'sullivan).

So almost impossible to have Bobby Ryan on this staff. Clearly not enough room. No playoffs once again.
That depends; with Finger we have just a bit over $2M in cap-space but are missing a 12th and 13th forward. If Kadri makes the jump the NHL than Finger needs to be buried because we would have less cap-space than league minimum for a 13th forward with Finger.
Without Finger & a 12th and 13th forward the Leafs have over $5M left to spend, which would be the best scenario. Just don't overspend because we want to save some money for next year's UFA crop.
According to Burke... the Leafs are in the neighborhood of $5m without any 1-way contracts in the minors.... there goes CapGeek's reported bonus penalty.

First of all.... if Burke ever did get Ryan... do you not think that there would be some salary going the other way? Schenn..... Grabovski..... both make close to 3 mil.
