Hmm no idea. I'm hoping he ends up as diamond in the rough, hopefully like how Ersberg was. He was a pretty good gap player.

Edit: Reaperz got it.

Ok what is the word on Kim Johnsson? I know he was paid a lot and has concussion issues? Are those cleared up and would he be worth a 1 year with bonuses type deal? I am thinking in case Mitchell goes elsewhere

I think his concussion might have been the career ending type. He got badly hit in the head a few times in short succession and his head has been spinning since. He's gonna wait until his head clears up before making his decision but it's looking like he's probably done.

Less than 1/2... Only 19 games.

Well Andrew Peters signed a 2 way one year deal with Florida...this is one of the guys I was hoping Lombardi would sign until Westgarth is healthy and can go down to Manchester and protect the young guys...Both the Kings and Monarchs will be without an enforcer to start the 2010-11 season.

Peters is useless, it was amazing to see what the difference in W-L when he was in the lineup. I'm still annoyed that Lou signed him to a 2 year deal last year when he was in camp on a tryout contract. And now we have his buyout against the cap for the next two years.

With Peters: 13-12-4
Without Peters: 35-15-3

Yes he was, O'Donnell was acquired a little before the start of the season in late September, http://www.hockeyfights.com/forums/f...-ducks-105158/

The Kings also acquired Kyle Quincey in October when he became available through waivers, http://www.hockeyfights.com/forums/f...-wings-106256/

Like you said, something will come up. Lot of time for teams to decide what they want to do with their rosters.

I'll tell you one thing, next off-season will be crazy as far as roster changes.

FAs: Williams, Handzus, Poni, Parse, Harrold
RFAs: Doughty, Johnson, Simmonds, Richardson, Bernier

So assuming all the RFAs are back, Schenn & Clifford make the team this year, we'll have about 7 roster spots to fill.

The only ones i see that won't come back are Williams and Poni....but things can change throughout the whole year.

RT @dchesnokov: Viktor Tikhonov father said the player requested a trade from the #Coyotes; said about 15 teams are interested.

Have to believe DL is in on this, no? He was after Tikhonov before...

We're looking at something like this...

LOS ANGELES KINGS
CAPGEEK.COM CAP CALCULATOR
FORWARDS
* Open ($0.000m) / Anze Kopitar ($6.800m) / * Open ($0.000m)
Ryan Smyth ($6.250m) / Brayden Schenn ($3.140m) / Dustin Brown ($3.175m)
Scott Parse ($0.900m) / Jarret Stoll ($3.600m) / * Wayne Simmonds ($2.750m)
Kyle Clifford ($0.870m) / * Brad Richardson ($1.750m) / Kevin Westgarth ($0.525m)
* Marc-Andre Cliche ($0.800m) / * Richard Clune ($0.700m)
DEFENSEMEN
Rob Scuderi ($3.400m) / * Drew Doughty ($6.000m)
* Jack Johnson ($3.500m) / * Open ($0.000m)
Thomas Hickey ($1.317m) / Matt Greene ($2.950m)
Davis Drewiske ($0.617m)
GOALTENDERS
* Jonathan Bernier ($1.800m) / Jonathan Quick ($1.800m)
CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS
(no bonus cushion is used in these calculations)
ROSTER: 23; CAP:$59.4m; PAYROLL: $53.310m; CAP ROOM: $6.090m;

Three glaring holes, unless you count Smyth as a #1 LW, which I don't. Defense can be switched around prospect-wise. Once we resign Doughty, Simmonds, and Johnson, we don't have much room to fill those holes if they sign for an amount similar to what I gave them. Smyth would need to go next summer in my opinion. If Williams has a healthy season, and puts up 20+ goals, I can see him being resigned to a 2-3 year deal worth about the same he's making per season right now. Loktionov could push for one of the top 2 LW positions...

Too bad. I know Lombardi really wanted to draft him.

Something will happen at the center position....Loktionov, Schenn, Cliche and Lewis are all fighting for the center positon behind Kopitar....I see the Kings retaining Handzus and putting two young centers behind them....Stoll is the odd man out.

That means there will be a lot of free agents who reject Dean Lombardi next July.
